BOARD OF APPEALS HEARINGS <br />IOctober 28, 1969 <br />A regular meeting of the Lexington Board of Appeals was held on <br />Tuesday, October 28, 1969, at 7:30 p.m. in the Selectmen's Room, Town <br />Office Building. Present were Chairman Nickerson, regular members <br />Sheldon, Abbott, Wadsworth and Dawes. <br />The following petitions were heard: <br />Mrs. William P. Howard - special permit to continue to operate a <br />nursery school for not more than 14 children in her home at 15 Ewell Avenue <br />from 8:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m., September through June. <br />Shell Oil Company - special permit to convert two rubbish enclosures (now <br />open) to enclosed storage rooms to be 9'6" x 12'2", on the rear of the existing <br />service station located at Bedford St. and Worthen Rd. <br />Lexington Auto Sales, Inc. - special permit to maintain two existing <br />signs at 409 Massachusetts Avenue. <br />Richard Harris, DVM - special permit to practice veterinary medicine <br />on the premises of 956 Waltham St., which will primarily be an out-patient <br />clinic with facilities to hospitalize animals that require surgery and/or <br />special care. <br />Roger A. Petrie - special permit to convert a single family residence <br />to a two-family residence at 19 Bedford St. <br />Chairman Nickerson announced the hearing for The 115 Kendall Corporation <br />had been postponed to a future date. <br />At the close of the hearings an executive session was held during which <br />the following decisions were made: <br />Mrs. William P. Howard - granted. <br />Shell Oil Company - granted. <br />Lexington Auto Sales, Inc. - granted permit for one oval sign to be <br />located on the southeast side or corner of the building. <br />Richard Harris, DVM - denied. <br />Roger A.
