I <br />BOARD OF APPEALS HEARINGS <br />July 22, 1969 <br />A regular meeting of the Lexington Board of Appeals was held on <br />Tuesday, July 22, 1969, at 7:30 p.m. in the Selectmen's Room, Town Office <br />Building. Present were Chairman Nickerson, regular members Sheldon, <br />Dawes, Wadsworth and Abbott. Mrs. Morey was present for action on the <br />Charles H. Cole II petition which was heard on July 1, 1969. <br />The following petitions were heard: <br />Lexington Trust Company for permit to maintain a free standing sign <br />in front of the bank building at 1822 Massachusetts Avenue, Lexington. <br />Myer and Ida Herman for variance to permit the construction of a <br />single car garage, to be located at 6 Wachusett Drive, with one edge <br />13 feet from lot line instead of the requieed 15 feet side yard and 18 <br />feet instead of the required 30 feet front yard. <br />Hideo Sasaki for variance in the zoning regulations to construct a <br />garage at the existing dwelling located at 17 Barberry Road, with a side <br />yard of 12 feet instead of the required 15 feet. <br />' Almarjo Realty Trust (Arthur Douglass) for special permit to erect and <br />maintain a free standing sign to be located in front of the building at <br />51 Worthen Road. <br />Anthony R. Cataldo (Gold Ribbon Farms) for permission to continue to <br />process, warehouse and sell fresh fruits and vegetables at 125 Massachusetts <br />Avenue. <br />Aclmarjo Realty Trust for variance to reduce the number of parking <br />spaces for the funeral home at 51 Worthen Road from 54 spaces to 40. <br />At the close of the hearings, an executive session was held during <br />which the following decisions were reached: <br />Lexington Trust Company - granted. <br />Myer and Ida Herman - granted. <br />Hideo Sasaki - granted - Side yard of 12 ft. and no overhang shall <br />impinge. <br />Almarjo Realty Trust - granted permission to erect a sign no greater <br />than 2' x 4'6" outside dimensions and 4' 4 1/4" <br />approximate height and located in the center of lot <br />with a setback from the street line of 30 ft. The <br />sign shall be illuminated by floodlight and not <br />internally. <br />' Anthony R. Cataldo - granted with the condition that sufficiently <br />high screening shall be installed at the rear and <br />the concrete blocks be painted by October 31, 1969. <br />Almarjo Realty Trust - granted. Variance to reduce parking spaces. <br />
