BOARD OF APPEALS HEARING <br />July 23, 1968 <br />A regular meeting of the Lexington Board of Appeals was held <br />on Tuesday, July 23, 1968, at 7:30 p.m, in the Selectmen's Room, <br />Town Office Building. Present were Chairman Nickerson, regular <br />members Sheldon, Dawes, Wadsworth and associate member Brodhead. <br />The following petitions were heard: <br />Mrs. Ralph Schontag for permission to continue operation of <br />a kindergarten for ten children, five days a week, 9:00 a.m, until <br />noon, at her home, 296 Woburn St. <br />Paul Marashio for permission to continue operation of a road- <br />side stand at the corner of North and Lowell Streets for the purpose <br />of selling vegetables, fruits, flowers, eggs, and Christmas trees in <br />season. <br />Anthony R. Cataldo for permission to continue to process, ware- <br />house and sell fresh fruits and vegetables at 1265 Massachusetts <br />Ave., Lexington. <br />Radio Station WCOP for permission to erect a sign 4'x4', made <br />of plywood 10' to bottom above grade. <br />Frederick K and Marjorie S. Johnson for permission to demolish <br />the front portion of the existing building at 39 Bedford St. and <br />construct a new building for use as a gasoline service station for <br />retail gasoline, oil and greasing stations; sale and installation <br />of tires and other automobile accessories; and the maintenance and <br />repairs of motor vehicles. <br />Ginn & Company for a Finding & Determination for an office build- <br />ing that will consist of three stories and two basement levels, 43,450 <br />sq. ft, on the ground and will constitute a desirable development not <br />detrimental to the neighborhood and the town. There is also a request <br />for a variance because of lack of frontage and to lower grades around <br />a portion of building to allow habitable areas within the building <br />such as office floors to be above finished grade. <br />Mrs. Ralph Schontag - granted <br />Paul Marashio - granted <br />Anthony R.
