BOARD OF APPEALS HEARINGS <br />IFebruary 27, 1968 <br />A regular meeting of the Board of Appeals was held in the <br />Selectmen's Room, Town Office Building, on Tuesday, February 27, 1968. <br />Present were Chairman Nickerson and regular members Dawes, Sheldon and <br />Wadsworth and associate Brodhead; also the secretary, Mrs. Macomber. <br />Hearings were called to order at 7:30 p.m. as follows: <br />Vernon and Olivette Rice - variance as it applies tbethe <br />residential dwelling at 21 Hayward Ave., Lexington, by allowing said <br />dwelling to continue to exist despite a nine foot side yard on the <br />westerly side of the premises instead of the required ten foot side <br />yard, and a twenty-six foot setback instead of the required thirty feet. <br />Instrumentation Laboratory, Inc. Thomas A. Rosse, President, <br />in connection with the building which is being constructed,at 113 Hart- <br />well Ave., Lexington, to be allowed to build one large room containing <br />19,000 sq.ft. without a dividing partition. This undivided area would <br />be in excess of the area limitations set forth in Sections 1 and 2 of <br />Art. X of the Building By -Law. <br />Lloyd H. Miller - permission to continue operation of a <br />roadside stand at 973 Concord Ave., Lexington. <br />' Wilson Farm, Inc. — permission to continue operation of a <br />roadside stand at #10 Pleasant St., Lexington. <br />Albert B. Levin - variance for the purpose of constructing a <br />two -car carport -garage at 18 Peacock Farm Rd. which would have a 20 -ft. <br />setback from Peacock Farm Road instead of the required 30 feet, and a <br />10 ft. setback from Trotting Horse Dr. instead of the required 20 ft. <br />Robert 0. Tillinghast - variance to permit two 2 -family units <br />in rear of 465 and 475 Massachusetts Ave., Lexington. <br />Ida G. Krebs - permission to erect a dwelling on part of Lots <br />Al2, A5, A6, said dwelling to be used as a school for tutoring students <br />with a maximum of 32 students at any one time. (Concord Ave.) <br />Donald B. MacKay - for permission to construct at 162 Bedford <br />St., Lexington, a 10' x 30' aluminum framed fibreglass awning to be <br />attached to the right hand side of building and supported by four posts <br />at the outside edge. This awning would be over an existing chain link <br />fence. <br />Following the hearings an executive session was held during <br />which the following decisions were made: <br />Vernon and Olivette Rice - granted <br />Instrumentation Laboratory, Inc. - granted <br />Lloyd H. Miller - granted <br />
