BOARD OF APPEALS HEARINGS <br />IJanuary 23, 1968 <br />A regular meeting of the Board of Appeals was held in the <br />Selectmen's Room, Town Office Building, on Tuesday, January 23, 1968. <br />Present were Chairman Nickerse0and regular members Abbott, Dawes and <br />Sheldon, associate member Farwell, and the secretary, Mrs. Macomber. <br />Hearings were called to order at 7:30 p.m. as follows: <br />LeRoy D. Haxton - to vary the Lexington Zoning By -Law in order to <br />remodel a kitchen at 64 Cliffe Ave, which would leave a side yard of <br />9'3" instead of the required 15 ft. <br />Kingston Homes, Inc. - a variance to allow the creation,of a legal <br />building lot in R 1 district, containing 27,696 sq.ft. instead of the <br />required 30,000 sq.ft. but in all other respects complying with said <br />zoning by-law. Said lot is shown as Lot 15B, Ingleside Road, on a plan <br />entitled "Plan of Land in Lexington, Mass., Owned by Kingston Homes, <br />Inc.", by MacCarthy Engineering Service. Said lot abuts the easterly <br />sideline of 38 Ingleside Rd. <br />Muzzey Corporation - a variance to allow the use of the premises at 24 <br />and 26 Muzzey St., Lexington, which is in an R 1 district, for pro- <br />fessional office use. <br />R. J, Foley Realty Trust - variance to permit the construction of a <br />single family dwelling on Lot 166, Philip Road, shown as Lot 67B, Map <br />15 of the Assessor's map. Said lot has a frontage of 104.88 ft. in- <br />stead of the required 150 ft. and has an area of 18,889 sq.ft. instead <br />of the required 30,000 sq.ft. <br />Georgie E. and Grace F. Rowe - a variance to permit the construction of <br />an addition to the existing building located at 33 Bedford St., which <br />building has a side yard of three feet six inches and the proposed <br />addition would have a side yard of three feet six inches on the boundary <br />of the lot which abuts on an R 1 district; 2. permit the use of the <br />the property located at 33 Bedford St. (including the proposed addition) <br />to be used for an oil and greasing station, place of business for the <br />sale and installation of tires and other automobile accessories, garage <br />for storage and repair and salesrooms for motor vehicles; and 3. for <br />permission to use the existing sign post and sign now located on the <br />property at 33 Bedford St. with new lettering reading "Rowe Chevrolet" <br />as shown on plan submitted. <br />Following the hearings an executive session was held during which <br />the following decisions were made: <br />LeRoy D. Haxton - granted <br />Kingston Homes, Inc. - granted <br />' Muzzey Corporation - granted <br />R. J. Foley Realty Trust - granted <br />George E. and Grace F. Rowe - granted <br />
