BOARD OF APPEALS HEARINGS <br />iAugust 22, 1967 <br />A regular meeting of the Board of Appeals was held in the Select- <br />men's Room, Town Office Building, on Tuesday, August 22, 1967. Present <br />were regular members Abbott, Dawes and Wadsworth, associate members Emery <br />and Blaisdell, and the secretary Mrs. Macomber. In the absence of Mr. <br />Nickerson, Mr. Abbott chairmanned the hearings, which were called to order <br />at 7:30 p.m., as follows: <br />Mrs. Ralph Schontag - for permission to continue operation of a <br />kindergarten for ten children, five days a week, 9:00 a.m. until noon, at <br />her home, 296 Woburn St. <br />Dunfey Corporation - for permission to add the word "Sheraton" <br />to existing "Lexington Motor Inn" sign located on the roof of the premises <br />at 727 Marrett Rd., Lexington. <br />Muzzey Corporation - to vary the Lexington Zoning By -Law to <br />allow the use of the premises at #24 and #26 Muzzey St., Lexington, which <br />is in an R 1 district, for professional office use. <br />Frank L. Martin - to vary the Lexington Zoning By -Law in order <br />to build a 22 ft. x 24 ft. 2 -car garage at 140 Adams St. five feet from <br />boundary line with 136 Adams St. instead of the required 15 ft. <br />R.J.Foley Trust - to vary the Lexington Zoning By -Law in order <br />to subdivide lot at 45 Percy Rd. (corner of Percy Rd. and Highland Ave.) <br />into two lots, one of which would have sufficient area and frontage and <br />one of which would have 12,550 sq.ft. area and 104.20 ft. frontage. <br />Following the hearings an executive session was held during <br />which the following decisions were made: <br />Mrs. Ralph Schontag - granted <br />Dunfey Corporation - granted <br />Muzzey Corporation - denied <br />Frank L. Martin - denied <br />R.J.Foley Trust - granted <br />All pertinent material with regard to the above petitions is on <br />file in each individual folder. <br />Some discussion was held regarding a few slight changes from <br />original plans requested by the Lexington Housing Development. Since there <br />seemed to be a question of legality involved in approving the changes, the <br />decision was held over until Mr. Nickerson's return. <br />The meeting adjourned at 9:45 p.m. Louise M.
