BOARD OF APPEALS HEARINGS <br />I <br />May 24, 1966 <br />A regular meeting of the Board of Appeals was held on Tuesday, <br />May 24 , 1966, in the Selectmen's Room, Town Office Building. Present <br />were Chairman Nickerson, members Charles T. Abbott, Lewis L. Hoyt, <br />George P. Wadsworth, and associate member J. Harper Blaisdell. The <br />secretary, Mrs. Macomber, was also present. At 7:30 p.m. the following <br />petitions were heard: <br />Viola T. Norlin - renewal, kindergarten. <br />Est. of May Napoli - renewal, roadside stand <br />James V. Cosgrove - renewal, roadside stand <br />Evelyn Beauchesne Burnell - to vary the Lexington Zoning By -Law <br />in order to erect a porch approximately 13.5 ft. x 8 ft. at 32 Adams St. <br />one corner of which will have a 13 ft. side yard instead of the required <br />15 ft. <br />Rose M. Manna and Anthony P. Modoono (Highland Farm) - permission <br />to install an aluminum greenhouse directly behind the present building on <br />lot abutting 192 Woburn St. measuring approximately 50 x 100 ft. Also to <br />install an awning over the apron on front of building measuring approxi- <br />mately 10 x 40 ft. - awning to be made of plastic (clear) and become a <br />permanent part of the building and to be used to protect plants and shrubs <br />from intensive direct sunlight. <br />Arthur B. Goodwin - to vary the Lexington Zoning By -Law in order to <br />build a porch platform on house at 229 Lincoln St. which would leave an <br />11 ft. side yard instead of the required 15 ft. <br />Caleb R. Layton - to vary the Sign By -Law in order to erect a sign <br />on the second floor at 1762 Mass. Ave. which would be 18" x 1016", or <br />larger than that permitted. <br />Following the hearings an executive session was held during which <br />the decisions were made as follows: <br />Viola T. Norlin - granted. <br />Est. of Mary Napoli - granted <br />James V. Cosgrove - granted <br />Evelyn B. Burnell - granted <br />Rose M. Manna and Anthony P. Modoono - denied <br />Arthur B. Goodwin - granted <br />Caleb R. Layton - denied <br />All pertinent material with regard to above petitions is on file in <br />each individual folder. <br />Mr. Nickerson announced that the State had requested that all <br />
