BOARD OF APPEALS HEARINGS <br />' August 3, 1965 <br />A regular meeting of the Lexington Board of Appeals was held in <br />the Selectmen's Room, Town Office Building, on Tuesday, August 3, 1965. <br />Present were Chairman Nickerson, members Abbott, Hoyt and Ripley, and <br />associate member Dawes. <br />At 7:30 p.m. the following hearings were declared open: <br />Harv_ez W. New en�t - to vary the Lexington Zoning By-law in <br />order todivide two lots at #56 and #58 Reed St. into three lots, two <br />of which will not have the required area or frontage. <br />Shell Oil Co. and Lillian M. Lo - for permission (1) under the <br />Lexington—Zoning-By- w o erect operate a retail automobile service <br />station on a parcel of land situated at the southeasterly corner of <br />Lincoln St. and Marrett Rd. in a C 1 district, and numbered 286 and 266 <br />Lincoln St., the service station building now existing on a portion of <br />the parcel to be demolished and the new service station building and <br />structures to be located substantially as shown on plot plan submitted; <br />and (2) under the Lexington Sign By-law to erect and maintain in con- <br />nection with said service station one standing sign. <br />Evangelical Covenant Church - for permission to erect a free- <br />standing wood sign for temporary use, 67" x 390 on property located at <br />50 Allen St. at intersection of Allen St. and Clematis Lane. <br />Matic Valley Mental Health Association, Inc. - for permission to <br />provide temporary oeffice space at t rear o 12Muzzey St. while plans <br />for permanent quarters are being pursued, by locating there a "McCarthy <br />Mobile Office." This would be 35' x 81, 9-1/2' high, wheels removed <br />and mounted on cinder blocks, with no plumbing or water connections. <br />Electricity and gas would be provided by teraporary connections from the <br />building with approval of the Building Inspector. <br />Dudley H. Chute - to vary the Lexington Zoning By-law in order to <br />construe a single family dwelling at lots 41, 42 Charles St. with a set- <br />back of 20 ft. instead of the required 30 ft. <br />Alice P. Ramsdell - to vary the Lexington Znning By-law in order <br />to erect a porch a tion to house at 28 Ewell Ave. which would have a <br />side yard of 8.2 ft. instead of the required 10 ft. <br />Albert H. Amiro - to vary the Lexington Zoning By-law in order to <br />build an addition on Ehe back of existing house at 905A Massachusetts Ave. <br />which would have a side yard of 7 ft. instead of the required 7-1/2 ft. <br />Joseph F. Hill Jr. - for permission to erect a free-standing sign <br />with dimensions of 51211 by 3'6" to be located at 176-178 Lowell St., site <br />' of "Hancock House" nursing home. <br />At the close of the hearings an Executive Session was held during <br />
