273 <br />BOARD OF APPEALS HEARINGS <br />IJanuary 28, 1954 <br />A meeting of the Board of Appeals was held in the Selectmen's <br />Room, Town Office Building, Lexington, on January 28, 1954. Chairman <br />Locke, Messrs. Ballard, Ripley, Redman and Worthen were present. The <br />Clerk was also present. <br />At 8:00 p.m. hearings were declared open on the following peti- <br />tions: <br />Robert L. Lyon - to subdivide the lot numbered 265 Bedford St. <br />and 9-11 No.Hancocc t. into two lots. <br />Dianne Estates Inc. - to subdivide Lot 3, Waltham St., into two lots. <br />The new o on w is a dwelling has been erected) would have a front- <br />age of 79.79 ft. on Waltham St. with an area of 9,850 sq.ft. more or less; <br />and lot #4 a frontage of 70 ft. on Waltham St. with an area of 9,380 sq.ft. <br />more or less. <br />Albert L. Hildebrand Jr. - to erect a single family dwelling on <br />Lot #145 Donaldt. <br />James A. Carrig - to continue the use of the temporary Real Estate <br />office at the corner of Concord Ave. and Pleasant St. <br />James B. Catalano - to continue the operation of the retail business <br />of selling p s an overs growing on the premises at 643 Waltham St. <br />Mass. Inst. of Technology - to erect a stainless steel tower at <br />M.I.T. Yield Station, 238 wood St. <br />At the close of the hearings an Executive Session was held during <br />which the following decisions were reached: <br />Robert L. Lyon - Granted - subject to the condition that in convert- <br />ing the playhoise into a single family dwelling the Building By-laws of the <br />Town shall be met in every respect; and subject to the further condition <br />that the house on 265 Bedford St. shall be used only as a single family <br />dwelling. <br />Dianne Estates Inc. - Granted <br />Albert L. Hildebrand Jr. - Granted <br />James A. Carrig - Granted - subject to the condition that the permit <br />shall expire January 17, 1955• <br />James B. Catalano - Granted - subject to'the following conditions: <br />1. Automobiles shall be parked on the premises and not on the highway. 2. <br />That this permit shall expire January 5, 1955. <br />Mass.
