6� <br />I <br />BOARD OF APPEALS HEARINGS <br />August 26, 1948 <br />A meeting of the Board of Appeals was held in the Selectmen�s <br />Room, Town office Building, on Thursday, August 26,19118. Chairman <br />Locke, Messrs. Rich, Houdlette, and Ripley were present. The clevk <br />was also present. <br />At 8:03 p.m. the following hearings were declared open: <br />Anthony J. Ruggiero for permission to use, on the dwelling <br />on Lot 34 Richard Road, a brick -faced wall consisting of 4" brick <br />backed up by a 4" cinder block. <br />Dr. Harvey W. Atkinson for permission to erect, at 1351 <br />Massachusetts Avenue, a two -car garage which would not have the r®- <br />quired side yard. <br />Florence C. Capone for permission to erect a greenhouse at <br />1099 Massachusetts Avenue. N <br />Ernest E. Alger, Jr. for permission to erect on Lot 114 Fair <br />Oaks Drive a dwelling the construction of which would not meet the <br />' requirements of the Lexington Building By-law. <br />S. J. Hymers for permission to erect, on Sunnyfield Lot 52 <br />Ivan Street a dwelling the construction of which would not meet the <br />requirements of the Lexington Building By-law. (Withdrawn) <br />In executive session the following decisions were reached: <br />Anthony J. Ruuggiero - granted <br />Harvey W. Atkinson - granted <br />Florence C. Capone - granted <br />Ernest E. Alger, Jr. - granted <br />The Board then considered the proposal of Mr. MacNeil that <br />he endeavor to clear up with the Building Inspector and the Town <br />Counsel of Lexington the question as to whether or not the Wolsey <br />House complies with the regulations recently issued by the State <br />Board of Standards and whether or not such regulations supersede <br />the Lexington Building By-law. <br />The Board unanimously agreed that Mr. MacNeil be advised thtt <br />the Board was in agreement with his suggestion, and a letter was <br />dictated to the clerk of the Board advising Mr. MacNeil of the sa$ie. <br />The meeting was adjourned at 10:32 P.M. <br />' Catherine Parellos Clerk <br />I <br />
