13000 <br />BOARD OF APPEALS MEETING ' <br />September 10, 1946 <br />A meeting of the Board of Appeals was held in <br />the SelectmenIs Room, Town Office Building, on <br />Tuesday evening, September 10, 1946. Chairman <br />Bowker, Mr. Redman, Mr. Nickerson and Associate <br />Members Ballard and Rich were present at the hear- <br />ing. The Clerk was also present. <br />The meeting was held for further discussion <br />on the petition of B. A. Simeone. Public hearing <br />of this petition was first held on August 29, 1946, <br />and adjourned until this evening. <br />At 8;05 p.m., Mr. Lindstrom, the Building <br />Inspector, and Mr. DeFoe, Superintendent of Public <br />Works, entered the meeting. <br />A2r. DeFoe stated that he did not think this <br />kind of house desirable; that there would be settle- ' <br />ment and cracks in the concrete due to weather changes. <br />Mr. Lindstrom agreed with Mr. DeFoe's statements. <br />After a lengthy discussion, these two men left the <br />meeting at 9;07 p.m. <br />A motion was made by Mr. Nickerson, seconded <br />by Mr. Redman that the pbtition of B. A. Simeone be <br />denied in the following form; <br />BOARD OF APPEALS DENIAL <br />The Board of Appeals, acting under the Lex- <br />ington Building By-law and General Laws, Chapter 40, <br />Sections 25 to 30 as amended, having received a written <br />petition addressed to it by B. A. Simeone, a copy of <br />which is hereto annexed, held a public hearing thereon <br />of which notice was mailed to the petitioner and to the <br />owners of all property deemed by the Board to be <br />affected thereby as they appear on the most recent <br />local tax list, and also advertised in the Lexington <br />Minute -Man, a ne"paper published in Lexington, which <br />hearing was held in the Selectmen's Roomy in the Town <br />Office Building on August 29, 1946. <br />1 <br />
