Mr. Locke asked if the rooms on the front of the • <br />house would be a part of the apartment in question and John <br />replied that they would not. <br />Mr. Redman asked if the only change upstairs would be <br />to make one of the rooms into a kitchen and John replied <br />in the affirmative. <br />Mr. Locke asked if these rooms upstairs would have a <br />separate entrance and would be entirely separate from the <br />rest of the house. John replied that that was correct. <br />Mr. Ferrazzani and his son retired at 8:07"P. M. <br />The Board discussed the request and felt that in this <br />particular location, and with the desire of the family to <br />be together, that no harm would be done to any others who <br />might later be affected. <br />Upon motion of Mr. Maddison, seconded by Mr. Bowker, it <br />was unanimously voted to grant the petition ih the following <br />form: <br />BOARD OF APPEALS PERMIT <br />The Board of Appeals, acting under the Lexington Zoning <br />By-law and General Laws, Chapter 40, Sections 25 to 30 as <br />amended, having received a written petition addressed to it <br />by Luigi Ferrazzani, a copy of which is hereto annexed, held <br />a public hearing thereon of which notice was mailed to the • <br />petitioner and to the owners of all property deemed by the <br />Board to be affected thereby as they appear on the most <br />recent local tax list and also advertised in the Lexington <br />Minute -Man, a newspaper published in Lexington, which hear- <br />ing was held in the Selectmen's Room, in the Town Office <br />Building on the 7th day of January, 1944. <br />Two Associate and three members of the Board of Appeals <br />were present at the hearing. A certificate of notice is <br />hereto annexed. At this hearing evidence was offered on be- <br />half of the petitioner tending to show: That the building <br />located at 673 Waltham Street is owned by the petitioner; <br />it consists of 12 rooms, and that he wished to provide an <br />apartment on the back of the second floor of the house con- <br />sisting of 4 rooms. This apartment shalla be separate from <br />the rest of the house; that at the present time there are <br />three outside entrances,and, without making any changes to <br />the exterior, one of these entrances will be used as the <br />entrance to the second floor apartment. It will be neces- <br />sary to provide a kitchen as well as ,s bathroom facilities. <br />The upstairs apartment will be occupied by a son of the <br />petitioner. <br />At the close of the hearing the Board in private <br />session on January 7, 1944 gave consideration to the sub- <br />ject of the petition and voted unanimously in favor of the <br />following findings: 0 <br />
