46 <br />BOARD OF APPEALS YEET 1NG e <br />September 29, 1939 <br />A meeting of the Board of Appeals was held in the <br />Selectmen's Room, Town Office Building, at 8:00 P. Tri. <br />Mr. Maddison, Messrs. Glynn, Ferguson, Bowker, and <br />Robbins were present. The Secretary was also present. <br />Mr. Glynn acted as Chairman Pro -tem. <br />At 8:00 P. M. hearing was declared open upon the <br />application of Johannes T. Carlson for permission to en- <br />large the greenhouses at 83 East Street, Lexington. <br />The notice of the hearing was read by Clerk Robbins. <br />Mr. Carlson appeared and presented a small sketch <br />of the property showing the present greenhouses and the <br />proposed addition. He said that the addition would have <br />only an 181 setback. <br />The Chairman asked what Mr. Carlson was going to <br />use the addition for, and he said that he was going; to <br />use it for a greenhouse. <br />The Chairman asked if the greenhouses were there <br />when Pr. Carlson gent there, and he replied in the affirm- <br />ative. He said that Lhe setback from East Street was 201. ' <br />Mr. Tuladdison asked if the addition r,,ould be of glass, <br />like the other greenhouses, and br. Carlson said that it <br />would. <br />No other ,Dcrsons appeared and the hearin;,; was de- <br />clared closed at 8:07 P. TI. <br />The Board considered the application of Johannes T. <br />Carlson for permission to erect an addition to his green- <br />houses located at 83 east Street, which would continue the <br />side line of the greenhouse parallel to Grant Street and <br />located 181 from the Grant Street line, the reason being <br />that the building would look better if so constructed, and <br />that he needed all the space in order to back a truck <br />inside the structure to load and to allow the closing of <br />the doors at such time, and upon motion of Mr. Maddison, <br />seconded by Mr. Robbins, it was unanimously voted to grant <br />the petition in the following form: <br />BOARD OF APPEALS PERMIT <br />The Board of Appeals, acting under General Laws, <br />Chapter 40, Sec. 27, having received a written petition <br />addressed to it by Johannes T. Carlson, a copy of which <br />is hereto annexed, held a public hearing thereon of which <br />notice was .Nailed to the petitioner and to the owners of ' <br />
