BOARD OF APPEALS RECORD <br />April 210 1939 <br />A meeting of the Board of Appeals was held in the <br />Selectmen's Room, Town Office Building, at 8:00 P. M. <br />Acting Chairman Glynn and Messrs. Robbins, Kimball, and <br />Locke were present. The Secretary was also present. <br />At 8:00 hearing was declared open upon the applica- <br />tion of the Lexington Golf Club for permission to enlarge <br />the locker room of the club house located at 55 Hill <br />Street, Lexington. The notice of the hearing was read by <br />Clerk Robbins. <br />Mr. Walter E. Sands, President, represented the <br />Lexington Golf Club. He presented plans of the old ground <br />area and the proposed addition. He said it was planned <br />to enlarge the locker room by 14' 6" toward Hill Street, <br />and that the addition would be on a cement foundation. <br />The Chairman asked if the extension came only to <br />the 20' set -back line, and i`=r. =ands answered in the <br />affirmative. He said that the distance had been checked <br />by the town engineering department. <br />The Chairman asked if the addition would be the same <br />type of construction, and Mr. Sands said that it would. <br />The Chairman stated that this petition came before <br />the Board of Appeals because the club house was a non- <br />conforming use. <br />Mr. Sands retired. <br />Upon motion of Mr. Kimball, seconded by Iffr. Locke, it <br />was unanimously voted to grant the petition in the follow- <br />ing form (Mr. Ferguson wishing to be recorded in favor): <br />BOARD OF APPEALS PERIiIT <br />The Board of Appeals, acting under General Laws, <br />Chapter 40, Sec. 27, having received a written petition <br />addressed to it by the Lexington Golf Club, a copy of <br />which is hereto annexed, held a public hearing thereon <br />of which notice was mailed to the petitioner and to the <br />owners of all property deemed by the Board to be affected <br />thereby as they appear on the most recent local tax list <br />and also advertised in the Lexington Minute-IIan, a news- <br />paper published in Lexington, which hearing was held in <br />
