1 <br />u <br />n <br />BOARD OF APPEALS I,TETING <br />October 8, 1937 <br />A meeting of the Board of Appeals was held in the Sel- <br />ectmen's Room, Town Office Building, at 8:00 P. 111. Messrs. <br />Iriaddison, Ferguson, Glynn, and Robbins were present. The <br />Secretary was also present. <br />At 8:00 P. 1. hearing was declared open upon the appli- <br />cation of Charles W. Ryder for permission to maintain a real <br />estate office and sign, 9 x 9 feet, at the corner of Waltham <br />Street and Winthrop Road extension. <br />The notice of the hearing was read by the C1erl L,r. Robbins. <br />Mr. Greeley, the Chairman of the rlanning Board, appeared <br />at the hearing. No one arpeared to oppose the granting of the <br />petition. The hearing was declared closed. <br />Mr. Glynn moved that the permit be granted in the _same <br />form as theprevious permit, and that it expire on August, 6, <br />1938. Mr. Ferguson seconded the motion, and it was so voted. <br />The Chairman informed the Board that I;ir. Kimball wished to be <br />recorded in favor of the granting of the petition. The permit <br />was granted in the following form: <br />BOARD OF APPEALS PERMIT <br />The Board of Appeals, acting under General Laws, Chapter <br />40, Sec. 27, having received a -,mitten petition addressed to <br />it by CharlesV. Ryder, a copy of which is hereto annexed held <br />a public hearing thereon of which notice was mailed to the pe- <br />titioner and to the owners of all property deemed by the <br />Board to be affected thereby as they appear on the most recent <br />local tax list and also advertised in the Lexington P7inute- <br />T an, a newspaper published in Lexington, which hearing was <br />held in the Selectmen's Room, in the Torrn Office Building on <br />the 8th day of October, 1937. <br />Four members of the Board of Appeals were present at the <br />hearing. A certificate of notice is hereto annexed. At this <br />hearing evidence was offered on behalf of the petitioner tend- <br />ing to show: <br />No one appeared in favor or in opposition to the granting <br />of the permit . <br />At ttie close of the hearing the Board in private session <br />on October 8, 1937 gave consideration to the subject of the <br />petition and voted unanimously in favor of the following <br />findings: <br />1. That in its judgment the public convenience and <br />welfare will be substantially served by the making of the <br />exception requested. <br />M <br />
