BOARD OF A?PEALS MELTING <br />npril 16, 1937. <br />A meeting of the Board of Appeals was held in the <br />Selectmen's Room, Town Office Building, on April 16th, 1937 <br />at 8:00 o'clock P. M. Chairman Maddison and Messrs. Glynn, <br />Robbins, Kimball, and Associate Member Errol E. Locke were <br />present. The Secretary was also present. <br />At 8:00 P. 1-4. hearing was declared open upon the appli- <br />cation of Alexander W. & Dorothy A. Parks for permission to <br />alter the building in the rear of 10 Fletcher Avenue into a <br />single dwelling. <br />The notice of the hearing was read by the Clerk, Yr. <br />Robbins, <br />Mr. & Mrs. Parks appeared in favor of the granting of <br />the petition. <br />Mrs. Parks stated that there was a barn in the rear of <br />their house that was not of much value as it is now, and she <br />and her husband thought it would improve the neighborhood to <br />havethe barn remodelled into a house. She said that it was <br />an eyesore. She said that the barn was 14' in the rear of <br />the house and 9' from the rear lot line extending from Sher- <br />man Street. The entire lot has a frontage of about 94 feet <br />on bletcher Avenue and about 124 feet on Sherman street. <br />Mr. Glynn asked Pers. Parks what the entire area of the <br />lot was, including that on which the house and barn are lo- <br />cated, and she replied that it was about 10,000 feet. <br />The Chairman asked when the garage was built, and T=ars. <br />Parks said that they had owned the property over eight years, <br />and the shed was there when they purchased the property, and <br />they put on a couple of doors. She said that the beams, studd- <br />ing, and everything in the barn were in good condition, but <br />it would be necessary to build a foundation. <br />PRrs. Parks said that she and her husband intended to <br />live in the remodelled house themselves, and did not intend to <br />sell it. <br />Mr. Glynn asked how man jr rooms they intended to have, <br />and she said they intended to have five rooms. 11r. Parks said <br />that there were two apartments in the large house, each con- <br />taining four rooms and a bath. <br />No persons appeared in opposition, and the hearing was <br />declared closed at 8:15 P.
