163 <br />BOARD OF APPEALS MING <br />' May ` 8, 1936. <br />A meeting of the Board of Appeals was held in the <br />Selectmen's Room, Town Office Building, at 7:30 P. M. Chairman <br />Maddison, Messrs. Glynn, rerguson, Robbins, and Kimball!..were <br />present. The ''ecretary,was also present. <br />Mr. Glynn moved that Mr. Arthur N. Maddison be elected <br />Chairman of the Board. Mr. Ferguson seconded the motion and <br />it was so voted. <br />Mr. Glynn moved that Mr. Howard 1�. Robbins be elected <br />Clerk of the board. Mr. Ferguson seconded the motion and it <br />was so voted. <br />At 7:30 P. M. hearing was declared open on the application <br />of Guiseppe Cacciola for permission to maintain a roadside <br />stand for the sale of produce grown on the property at 708 <br />Marrett Road. <br />The notice of the hearing was read by the Clerk. <br />Mr. Cacciola appeared in favor of the petition. The <br />Qhairman asked him where the property was in connection with <br />'the Martin farm and he replied that it was just opposite. The <br />' <br />ffiairman asked him if he had ever raised vegetables there before <br />And he said that he.had not inasmuch as he had moved in early <br />last Fall. The `hairman asked him if he had ever had a road -- <br />side ,stand before, and he replied that he had one in Concord. <br />The chairman asked him if he would raise his vegetables or buy <br />them, and he replied that he would raise all that he would sell. <br />The Chairman asked him if it was good tillable soil and if it <br />had been used fora garden before and he replied that it had <br />not been used for this purpose for a great many years. The <br />"hairman asked Cacciola what arrangements he had thought of <br />making with regard to the parking of cars. He replied that <br />there was ple}ity of space right in front of the house and on <br />both sides. The Chairman asked him how near the house was <br />from where he wanted to locate the stand, and he said that it <br />was forty or fifty feet. There is a driveway all around the house. <br />Mr. Ferguson asked how far back from Marrett hoed the <br />stand would be apd he was, advised that it would be thirty-five <br />or forty feet. 'here are twelve acres in the parcel. <br />Mr. Glynn asked Cacciola howl long the stand would be and <br />he replied that it would be eighteen or twenty feet long and <br />twelve feet wide, with a roof. He said that he wanted to build <br />a stand with a roof so that the vefetables could be put inside <br />at night or when it was raining* he roof would be of roofing <br />paper and the sides matched board or shingles all around. Where <br />would be a door in the center with a window on either side. <br />Mr. Ferguson asked him if he had a plan of the stand and he <br />informed him that he did not. <br />Mr. Kimball asked him if he was going to build it himself <br />and he replied in the affirmative. <br />
