BOARD OF APPEALS MEETING
' MAY 16, 1933.
A meeting of the Board of Appeals was held in the
Selectmen's Room, Town Office Building. Messrs. Maddison,
Glynn, Baldrey, Ferguson and Robbins were present.
The Board decided to lag the matter on the table for
one week.
A true record, Attest;
Hearing was held jointly with the Board of Selectmen,
and was declared open at 8;15 on the application of Esther
R. Bskmea for permission to maintain a garage on land at
12 Sheridan Street.
The Chairman of the Board of Selectmen announced that
the hearing had been duly advertised in the Lexington
Minute -Man and the Clerk of the Board of Appeals read the
notice of the Board of Appeals which had been dd*ertised in
the Lexington Minute -Man.
Dr. William L. Barnes, representing Esther R. Barnes,
appeared and stated that the lot was triangular in shape and
the street is an unaccepted street, and in order to place the
garage on the lot it would be located within twenty feet of
the street line. He stated that his tenants asked for a two
car garage and he would like to be able to give it to them.
In this connection he also called attention to the bridge
across the brook which he has built up so people could go
across although he did not see why he should have to do it
as he felt it was a duty of the Town.
'
Dr. Barnes, upon question asked by a member of the
Board of Appeals, stated that he was not sure whether he could
locate a one ear garage on the lot without coming within
twenty feet of the street line owing to the fact that the
street is not accepted. He presented two plans, and stated
that he would prefer the plan that the garage be located on
the same line with the house.
There was no opposition to the application.
The Board decided to lag the matter on the table for
one week.
A true record, Attest;
