215 <br />BOARD Or APPEALS MEETING - OCTOBT:R 283- 1932. <br />The meeting of the Board of Appeals was held October 28, <br />1932, Town Office Building at 8 P. M. Messrs. Arthur N. Maddison, <br />Theodore A. Custance, Roland W. ^naldrev, C. Edward Glynn, and <br />Curlys L. Slocum were present. The secretary was also present. <br />Hearing was declared open on the application of David <br />Willard for permission to maintain an antique shop at 211 Bedford <br />Street. <br />Notice of the hearing was advertised in the Lexington <br />Townsman. Mr. ~Willard did not appear in favor of his petition. <br />No one appeared against the petition. <br />It was decided to adjourn the hearing until November 18, <br />at 8 P. I;. <br />After some discussion on the application of Joseph V. <br />Boinay to maintain a roadside stand it wascEdcided to request <br />VIr. Boinay to sign a stateme}zt as follows; "In consideration <br />of your granting me a permit to maintain a roadside stand on <br />premises owned by Harry F. Boinay on Pleasant Street near the <br />junction of Pleasant and Watertown Streets, I agree to construct <br />no structure for the purposes of a roadside stand on said premises <br />without submitting plans and obtaining the approval of samd by <br />you, i, <br />After they'St amen wfis <br />to him'the order of''the_Board <br />SAgned it WA9 decided to deliver- <br />as <br />eliveras follows;" <br />OF APPEALS PERMIT <br />The Board of Appeals, acting under General Laws, Chapter 40, <br />Sec. 27, having received a written pebition addressed to it by <br />Joseph V. Boinay, a copy of which is hereto annexed, held a public <br />hearing thereon of which notice was mailed.to the peti`..ioner and <br />to the owners of all property deemed by the Board to be affected <br />thereby as they appear on the most recent local tax list and also <br />advertised in the Lexington Townsman a newspaper published in <br />Lexington, which hearing was held in the Sel-etments Room, in the <br />Town Office Building on the 9th day of August, 1932 at 8:30 P.M. <br />Meesrs. Custance, Baldrey and Glynn of the Board of Appeals were <br />present at the hearing. A certificate of notice is hereto annexed. <br />At this hearing evidence was offered on behalf of the petitioner <br />tending to show: that he desires to operate a roadside stand on <br />premises owned by his brother on Pleasant Street opposite the <br />junction of Pleasant and Watertown Streets for the purpose of <br />raising produce to sell at the roadside stand on said land. <br />' No evidence was offered on behalf of citizens opposing the <br />granting of the said petitioh. <br />At the close of the hearing the Board in private session <br />October 28, 1932, gave consideration to the subject of the petition <br />
