r <br />212 <br />BOARD OF APPEALS MEETING <br />OCTOBER 25, 1932 , <br />y, <br />A joint hearing of the Board of Appeals and the Selectmen <br />was held at the Town Office Building on Tuesday, October 25, <br />1932 at 8:10 P.M. Thos e ,present were Messrs. Maddison, Glynn, <br />Custance and Baldrey. The notice regarding the petition of <br />Ashley W. Partridge to permit a private garage and stores <br />at 404 Waltham Street was read and the hearing was opened. <br />o-5 Mr. Partridge presented plans showing the desired improvement <br />and -explained that he desired to store his trucks in the <br />proposed building and make minor repairs on same. No one <br />appeared in opposition. The hearing was then closed. <br />The Board of Appeals then withdrew to the Assessors' <br />Office and considered the petition of Mr. Partridge, and voted <br />that Ashley W. Partridge be permitted to use the premises at <br />404 Waltham Street for a private garage for the storage of <br />not exceeding six automobiles or trucks, the same to be an <br />accessory use to his business as conducted in adjacent property, <br />and upon further condition that the building be constructed. by <br />October 25., 1933. Such permit to be in the following forms <br />PERMIT ' <br />The Board of Appeals, acting under Geheral Laws, <br />Chapter 40, see. 27, having received a written petition <br />addresaed to it by Ashley We Partridge, a copy of which is <br />hereto annexed, held a public hearing thereon of which notice <br />was mailed to the petitioner and to the owners of all property <br />deemed by the Board to be affected thereby as they appear on <br />the most recent local tax list, and also advertised in the <br />Lexington Times Minute -Man a newspaper published in Lexington, <br />which hearing was held in the Selectmen's Room in the Town <br />Office Building on Tuesday the 25th day of October 1932 at <br />8 o'clock P.M. A majority of the members of the Board of <br />Appeals were present at the hearing. <br />After hearing the evidence offered by the petitioner <br />and such other evidence as was offered, the Board in private <br />session at a meeting held October 25, 1932 gave consideration <br />to the subject of the petition and a majority of the Board <br />voted that in its judgment the public convenience and welfare <br />will be substantially served by the use of the premises <br />described in the petition and that such use will not tend to <br />impair the status of the neighborhood. <br />The Board therefore determines that the application of <br />section of the Lexington Zoning By-law <br />permits the use of the premises described in the petition, ' <br />subject to the following conditions, and instructs the <br />Inspector of Buildings of Lexington to grant a permit therefor. <br />
