S2 BOARD OF APPEALS MEETING <br />MARCH 15, 1932. <br />A joint hearing of the Selectmen and the Board of <br />Appeals was held at the Selectmen's Room, in the Town <br />Office Building on Tuesday, March 15, 1932 at 8 o'clock <br />P.M. MessrBs Maddison,, Slocum, Custa.nce and Glynn of the <br />Board of Appeals were present. Mr. Glynn was appointed <br />;4 <br />a Clerk Pro -tem. <br />The representatives of the Standard Oil Co. of New <br />York stated that they desired permission to place <br />an additional 1000 gallon tank for gasoline on their <br />premises at 27 Mass. Avenue. They would not put in <br />any additional pump and the present pumps are to remain <br />?h' as at presentplaced. <br />No one appeared in opposition and the hearing was <br />declared closed. <br />The Board of Appeals then adjourned to the office <br />of the Supt. of Public Works. <br />The records of the hearing on petition of .Frank W. <br />Perkins held February 16, &932 and the record of <br />the meeting held March 8, 1932 were read and approved. <br />The petition of the Standard Oil Co. of New York <br />for permission to increase by 1000 gallon tank its <br />storage capacity for gasoline at its filling station <br />at 27 Mass. Avenue, was considered and it was voted that <br />said petition be granted in the following forms <br />PERMIT <br />The Board of Appeals, acting under General Laws, <br />Chapter 40, sec. 27, having received a written petition <br />addressed to it by Standard Oil Co. of New York, Inc. <br />a copy of which is hereto annexed, held a public hearing there- <br />on of which notice was mailed to the petitioner and to the <br />owners of all property deemed by the Board to be affected <br />there -by as they appear on the most recent local tax list, <br />and also advertised in the Lexington Townsman a newspaper <br />published in Lexington, which hearing was held in the <br />Selectmen's Room, in the Town Office Building on the <br />15th day of March 1932 at 8:00 o'clock P.M. <br />A majority of the members of the Board of Appeals were <br />present at the hearing. <br />After hearing the evidence offered by the petitioner <br />and such other evidence as -,was offered, the Board in private <br />session at a meeting held Mar. 15, 1932 gave consideration <br />to the subject of the petition and a majority of the Board. <br />voted that in its judgment the public convenience and welfare <br />will be substantially served by the use of the premises described <br />in the petition and that such use will not tend to impair the <br />status of the neighborhood. <br />The Board therefore determines that the application <br />of section 6 (c) in C.1 Districts and 9G of the Lexington <br />Zoning By-law permits the use of the premises described <br />in the petition, subject to the following conditions, and <br />instructs the Inspector of Buildings of Lexington to grant <br />a permit therefor. <br />1 <br />1 <br />1 <br />
