LEXINGTON SCHOOL COMMITTEE MEETING <br /> Monday,January 14, 2008 <br /> Cary Hall Auditorium <br /> 1605 Massachusetts Avenue <br /> Present: Superintendent Paul Ash, School Committee Chair Tom Diaz, School Committee <br /> Members Helen Cohen, Margaret Coppe, Tom Griffiths and Ravi Sakhuja. The minutes were <br /> taken by Leora Tec. <br /> The meeting was convened at 5:08 p.m. <br /> L Call to Order and Welcome <br /> II. Members' Reports/Members' Concerns: <br /> Tom Diaz: The CPC approved S330K for the Old Harrington today. <br /> Margaret Coppe: I will be going to the Board of Selectmen meeting tonight to present the ad <br /> hoc proposal for the Human Rights Committee. <br /> III. Discussion <br /> 1. Revisions and Updates on the FY09 Recommended Level-Service Budget <br /> Mary Ellen Dunn presented the revisions and updates including removing the Facilities <br /> Department from School budget. <br /> There were questions from the Committee members. <br /> 2. Responses to School Committee Member Budget Questions <br /> Dr. Ash provided written responses to Committee members' questions. There were some <br /> follow-up questions. <br /> 3. Recommended FY09 Capital Projects (in priority order) <br /> Dr. Ash introduced Patrick Goddard, who discussed what has changed since the last time <br /> the Committee had seen the document. <br /> There was some Q&A from the Committee and the audience. <br /> SC Meeting 1/14/08 page # 1 <br />
