Bryant Town Clerk Lexington March 5th 1853 Then the above named Albert W Bryant personally appeared and made oath as above certified before me Royal B Willis Justice of the Peace Also.. An order for Decon Stone for his service as assessor in 1747., three pounds old tennor. Also.. Past an other order to ye Treasuer to pay Decon Stone Seventeen pounds two shillings for bording ye school master nine weeks from ye eighteenth of Septemberto ye Eighteenth of Nov- ember. Also-, Past an order to pay ye Wido Hannah Ester- brooks twenty pounds five shilings for bording ye school master from ye eighteenth of November to ye eighteenth January. Also.. Past an order to pay Isaac Bowman fifteen pounds fifteen shilings for bording ye school master nine weeks from ye eighteenth of July to ye eighteenth of Septembr. Also.. Past an order,to ye Treasurer to pay Mr Vathle Robbins Thirty Seven pounds ten shillings, it being ye second payment for his keeping ye school for ye year 1748,. Also.. Ordering ye Clerk to send an account to ye Treasuer what money each Constable had in his list to colect and gather. Also., Past an Prder to the Treasuer to pay ye Survairs accounts yt is to say. Benja. Browns account amounting to Six pounds, five shilings I 1 9illm. Grimes account amounts to Eight pounds Eleven shilings Marrat Munroes account amounts to Thirteen pounds three shilings Samle, Bidges account amounting to Fourteen pounds nine shillings.Eigh Pent Att a Meeting of the Selectmen February 13 1749..9 Then Ordered ye worronts to goo out for March Meeting. l.. To chuse Town officers for y9 year as ye Agreed law directs. upon ye 2,..To see if ye Town will allow swine to goo Articles at large yeyear ensuing. for March 3.. To see if the Town will sell ye bridge Meeting farme so ' called, or do arty thing relating thareunto.. 4*. To chuse a sealer of waits and measures in said Town 5.. To see if ye Town will releve Capt Benja. Reed and Mr. Benja. Smith from their agreement relating to bulding a pound in said Town. 6,. Upon ye request of Davide Cutler, Jonathan Lawrance, Jonathan Herrington, late Constables. To see if ye Town.will make their allownce for serving as Constelble, as good as when ten shilings was granted to a Constable for sd Town for their service as Constable. 7.. To see if the Town will teke any mathord to satle ye way threw ye Church Farme so called 8.. To see if ye .Town will allow Marrat Munroe to digs stones on ye ministeraleland in order to buld .a wall between said land and his own. 9.. To-see if the Town will except of a way, or roade wide from Concord.road to ye ministeral land threw Jonas and Marratt Munroes land, said Town bulding a wall upon one side m way in lue thareof. Also.. Past an order to ye Treasuer to pay John Hoar three pounds old tanner, it being for sundre things which hee found for Susanna Stone. Also.. Past en order to ye Treasurer to pay Capt Samle. Stone Seven pounds, one shiling and four pence new tenner, it being nine 'shilings and Orders four pence abated by ye sessions of his tax in ye to ye year 1746.. and Sig pounds, twelve shilings cost Treasuer of Complaints. Appointed Marritt Munroe Pound Keeper Keeper Att a Meeting of ye Select Men April- 1749 Then ordered a warrant for a Town Meeting on Select May 15h 1749.. at one of ye clock in ye after - Mens noon, to choose a Representative for ye year Meeting ensuing, & a 2 of ye clock of sd day on other Town affairs. 1.. To See what ye Town will do concerning the suply of ye Pulpit'ye year ensuing 21y.. To Grant Money to defray Town charges ye year ensuing 31y.. To See if ye Town will chose a Comtee to take care of ye Pulpit ye year ensuing if need be. 41y.. To chose comtee to provide a school Master for ye Gramer school in ye Town the year ensuing. 5.. To see what Method ye Town will take in Mending the ways in said Town in year ensu- ing, if ye Town think proper 6.. To see-if ye Town will give ye Comtee yt was chose 1747 to renew ye bounds of ye way or road layed out through ye church farme some further instruetions, or chose a new Comtee. Also.. Granted an order to pay Mr Robbins for his keeping school in ye Town 3d garter. Orders Also.. Granted an order to pay Bagr. Reed Granted Eighteen pounds old Tenor for his hording sd School Master. Orders Ye above sd orders passed to ye Treasurer Passed Att a Meeting of the Select Men May 11 1749 There Granted an order to pay the Revernd. Mr Hancock Two Hundred & eight Pounds, old tenor the last payment for ye year 1748. Also agreed with Tonas Munroe to ring the bell & Sweep ye Meeting house for one year beginning May 21.. 1749. for Seven pounds old tenor. The above sd order passed to ye Treasures Order Passed Att a Meeting of tk a Freeholders & other Inhabitants of the Town of Lexington reg- � • May ulerly assembled on May 15 1749 Meeting Then choose.. Mr Isaac Bowan to represent them at ye General Court & then proceeded on other Town affairs Choose.. Mr Isaac Bowan Modderator 2.. Voted.. The Revnd Mr Hancock -L 416 old tenor he suplying the Pulpit the year -ensu- ing. „ 3.. Left the care of supplying the Pulpit if Mr Hancock-be not able to do it, with ye Selectmen 4.. Voted .. L350, old tenor to defray Town charges the year ensuing 5.. Voted.. The Gramer shoal shoulde he kept at ye school house the whole term. Also ' choose a committee to provide a school Master.; viz Ur S*amll Winship 2.-Mr Amos Muzzy 3..Mr Daniel Brown Also Voted.. That every person that lives within two miles of ye school house shall pay five shillings old tenor for each child Yt is sent to school at ye entring with sd school to ye school Master,, to be*laid out for wood for sd school, Also.. Ye Town Voted That ye highways & Town way as sd Town shoulde be Mendede as in ye year past. Also Voted.* That Ur Thomas, Cutler Mr 'Ben J4 Smith & Mr Dahiel Simonds B6fx14 a Commtee that was choose in ye year 1748.. , to renew the bounds of ye way laide out through ye church Farm & so to Bedford line be continued as a Comtee to gow & renew sd Bounds or make new bounds if need be from Woburn roade through sd Farm & so to Bedford line Also Voted To dismis Mr Benja. Smith & Capt Beya., Reed from ye'agreement thay made with the Towh to to build a new pounde.. provided sd men'keepe ye old pounde in repair untle December Next. Robbins to keepe sd Town School for after the rate of One Hundred & Sixty five pounds, olde tenor The and borde pr year beginning at the Tenth day School of July 1749 to ye last of May 1750. They Committee then agreede to give sde Robbins forty shill- Agreement ings old tenor pr. weeke, to procure his own borde for the first quarter. Agreede with Daniel Tidd to take with timber on ye ministerial lande & rebuild Daniel a New Pounde the same bigness of the old Tidd Pounde & Set it in the same place. The •• to build Timber is to be huede as followeth,nviz.. a Pounde The cells & uper pears to be hued 6 & .7 inches, the posts 6.. and the raiels about 2 inalTes,• •& sd Tidd is to receive of sd Selectmen Twenty four pounde old tenor for the worke of said Pounde. The Pound is to don by ye last day of March next. Att a Meerting of the Select Men January 18, 1749. The Capt Benjamin Reed paide to Daniel Tidde Town Clerke by ordere of the Select I+ +den S12 old tenor it be for warning out Martin. Cautions Also.. Sd Tidd paid to sd Reed for inter - entred ing 4 cautions at December Court 1749, being $16 shillings old tenor. Also.. The Men ordered the To= Clerk to give an order to pay Mr Nathaniel Robins, school Master his pay for keeping School in this Town the Second yurter & his horde Order being seventy pounds & ten shillings, old Passed tenor to the Sd orders passed the Treasurer Treasurer Select Att a Meeting of the Select Men January 29 1749.
