The Housing Authority would like to build four to eight elderly/barrier free additional units on <br />its Greeley Village site, as well as two two-bedroom houses on scattered sites. LexHab would <br />like to build one to two new homes per year. <br />LexHAB also must be prepared to acquire housing units in existing multi -family projects that are <br />soon to be released from affordability restrictions. <br />First-time homebuyer programs, including the Soft Second Loan Program, should be explored if <br />the Town is to maintain its range of diversity in age and income. <br />Affordable housing can be preserved through the purchase of deed restrictions, and programs <br />using the UMass ECHO Model should be investigated. <br />10 <br />
