Minutes of the Lexington Zoning Board of Appeals <br /> Selectmen's Meeting Room <br /> October 26, 2017 <br /> Board Members Present: Chairwoman, Martha C. Wood, Jeanne K. Krieger, Edward <br /> D. McCarthy, Ralph D. Clifford, and Associate Member Nyles N. Barnert <br /> Alternate Present: William P. Kennedy <br /> Administrative Staff: Jennifer Gingras, Administrative Clerk and David George, Zoning <br /> Administrator <br /> Address: 450 Bedford Street <br /> The petitioner submitted the following information with the application: Nature and <br /> Justification, Plot Plan, and Floor Plans. Also received were comments from the <br /> Design Advisory Committee (DAC), received October 12, 2017. <br /> Prior to the meeting, the petitions and supporting data were reviewed by the Building <br /> Commissioner, Conservation Administrator, Town Engineer, Board of Selectmen, the <br /> Planning Director, the Historic District Commission Clerk, Historical Commission, <br /> Economic Development, and the Zoning Administrator. Comments were received <br /> from the Conservation Administrator and Zoning Administrator. <br /> The petitioner is requesting a SPECIAL PERMIT in accordance with the Zoning By- <br /> Law (Chapter 135 of the Code of Lexington) section 135-9.4, 135-5.2.4.1, and 135- <br /> 5.2.10 to allow internal illumination of one (1) sign. <br /> The Chairwoman opened the hearing at 7:51 pm. <br /> Mr. Jerry Diriento of Carruth Capital, LLC, presented the petition as the Construction <br /> Project Manager for the project. They are proposing to illuminate the sign for 450 <br /> Bedford Street. The building is set back about 400ft from the road and the illumination <br /> of the sign will help with identification of the building. <br /> A Board Member, Mr. Edward D. McCarthy, asked for clarification of the location of the <br /> sign. <br /> A Board Member Alternate, Mr. William P. Kennedy, asked if the orientation shown on <br /> the plans will be the orientation of the physical sign (not exactly but the monument is <br /> currently in place and they are only petitioning to illuminate the sign). <br /> There were no further questions or comments from the Board. <br /> There were no comments from the audience. <br /> The Chairman closed the hearing at 7:55 pm. <br /> Page 5 <br />
