Significant interest to host another Aloft event on October 25th - Artepreneurs mask event before <br />Halloween - come as you are or as you aren't <br />b. Introduction of membership renewal <br />c. Cary Library - will invite Koren to next meeting per her request to coordinate efforts & join future <br />meetings <br />d. Regarding 2 open positions, Seetha will post in Minuteman and artist lists & has reached out to <br />Council for Aging and have not heard back on whether there is interest for new council <br />membership. Jessie will reach out to Susan Larson. <br />2. REPORTS <br />a. Secretary's Report <br />i. Approval of previous meeting's minutes (May - Lynne motioned, Jessie seconded, June <br />2017, Laurel motion, Amy seconded) <br />b. Treasurer's Report <br />i. Review of numbers for annual report (due September 2017) <br />ii. Review of 2016 Grant reimbursements - until end of September $1550 unclaimed - need <br />of how best to adjust strategy to allocate funds for next year, <br />iii. Review of 2017 Grant submissions/reimbursements <br />iv. Reconciliation of current balances - Local $2300; $9500 total <br />c. Grants Report <br />i. Discussion of any grant events Council members attended last month <br />ii. "Local Priorities" updated on website <br />iii. Online registration <br />iv. Grant application advertisement <br />Communications Report <br />i. Website:n n nr,;,ll,ex ;ir ,ca,:)u,in,ciillaa,irg - updated with information about online grants, several <br />new arts businesses added (more needed for completeness <br />ii. Interest in inviting regional LCCs to Lexington for a "lessons learned" or strategy sharing <br />session - aim for February/March 2017; Seetha will send emails to LCC chairs. <br />iii. Jessie introduced Lexington Coalition's charge and requested Arts Council representation <br />for the January 2017 sessions to get the word out about Arts therapy in the community <br />3. NEW BUSINESS <br />a. Award Selection - 2017 Breakthrough artist award winner is Joel Kowit. Seetha will contact Board <br />of Selectmen, Lex Media, Minuteman and Accounting to arrange for presentation of award. Motion <br />by Jessie Steigerwald. Seconded by Jean Hart. <br />b. Calendar Meeting days/times for 2017-18 October meeting changed to 10/23 due to Columbus <br />Day. Will contact Koren to join. <br />c. Confirm Grant Evaluation process for 2017-18 - discussion of form <br />d. 2017-18 Projects: <br />i. Laurel confirmed logistics for November Center ArtsWalk - Nov 6 -29th in Lexington <br />1 of 2 <br />
