Committee last week. They had suggested that we require the Historical Society to give the
town a deed restriction in conjunction with the request for the Elevator at the Depot building. It
was agreed that we would deal with this issue if it comes up at Town Meeting.

Comprehensive Cultural Resource Survey
This project was presented by David Kelland, Chair of the Historical Commission, The request is
for $20,000. The project is to hire a consultant to correct, update and expand a nine-volume
Comprehensive Cultural Resource Survey of Lexington. David said that beginning in 1975 the
Historical Commission had prepared a nine-volume inventory of historical structures, located
throughout Town that documents over 1400 structures and sites. There are copies of the survey
at the Cary Library and Planning Office.

The next meeting of the Community Preservation Committee is scheduled for Thursday,
November 30, 2006 at 5:00 p.m.

The meeting was adjourned at 6:37 p.m.

Respectfully submitted,

Leo P. McSweeney
