153 <br /> ` TOWN CELEBRATIONS COMMITTEE <br /> April 17th, 1958 <br /> The 30th meeting of the Town Celebrations Com- <br /> mittee was held in the Selectmen' s Room of the Town <br /> Office building on April 17th, 1958 Present were <br /> Messrs Gustin, Rooney, Lewis, Poehler, Hutchins, <br /> Rooney, and Mesdames Pullen, Litchfield and Williams <br /> Mr. Gustin passed out Patriots Day programs and <br /> went through the Lexington schedule to check each item <br /> Mrs Litchfield will check with Mr Handley to <br /> be sure that he will ring the Belfry She will also <br /> call the Fire Station about the 1-7-7-5 alarm <br /> Mr Cole had given permission to Mr Hackenberger <br /> to have a sound truck to play stereophonic music It <br /> will be in the parade in the middle of the Boy Scout <br /> units <br /> The list of guests of the day were reviewed, and <br /> their placement in parade cars was discussed It was <br /> stated that there would be room on the reviewing stand <br /> for judges of floats Mr Gustin will stay at the review- <br /> ing stand <br /> Parade rosters and detour maps were given to each <br /> Committee member The Committee decided that other <br /> themes besides the theme of the celebration shall be <br /> eliminated This was in connection with a request for <br /> permission to use a theme about multiple sclerosis <br /> Dr Hunt plans to enter two antique cars <br /> It was voted tnat uftairman Dustin and Mrs Pullen <br /> represent the Committee at the Yankee Homecoming dinner <br /> in Boston, Friday, April 18th. <br /> Representatives of the Committee at the two balls <br /> should be at the Belfry Club at 9 30 and at the Rotary <br /> Ball at 10 lK <br /> Mrs Pullen asked permission to have two photo- <br /> graphic prints of Lady Lexington made One would be <br /> given to her, and the other would be given to the Prom- <br /> Manaders It was voted <br /> Mr Lewis suggested that Miss Mildred Ayers of <br /> the Red Cross be asked to provide transportation for <br />
