Celebrations <br /> Committee was held at 8 15 p.m , February 27, <br /> 1958 in Estabrook Hall of Cary Memorial Hall <br /> Present Messrs Gustin, Hutchins, Lewis, Rooney, <br /> Cole; Mesdames Pullen, Litchfield and Williams. <br /> Also present were Mrs Christine Meyer, P REPRE- <br /> T A ; Mr Gordon Osgood, Grange; Mr Bill Ray, 4-H; SENTATIVES <br /> Mrs LaPorte, Girl Scouts; Mr Bill Fitzgerald, <br /> Lions Club; Mr Viano, Rotary <br /> Mr Gustin, Chairman, introduced Mr Jack YANKEE <br /> Frost who outlined plans to date for "Yankee Home- HOMECOMING <br /> coming 1958", a six-state promotional scheme, <br /> which will have its kick-off in Lexington. on <br /> April 19th <br /> Mr Gustin mentioned that Lexington was the LEXINGTON <br /> only town of that name at the time of the Revolu- ROOM <br /> tion There are twenty-one namesakes, and those <br /> towns have been asked to send a display whichcan <br /> be put in the Lexington. Room of the new library <br /> addition <br /> Mr Viano, representing Rotary, outlined ROTARY <br /> Rotarian plans for a ball to be held April 19th at <br /> Hayden Recreational Center with Ray Eberlets or- <br /> chestra providing the music Mr Gustin asked for <br /> a letter from Rotary giving details so that proper <br /> credit will be given those responsible <br /> The Celebrations Committee has written ask- PROMENADERS <br /> iiag Nc.�mI ivu of "ilio ri-uauoaiadoi o" fug I.liclr quuu i <br /> to be the focal point of the parade and be called <br /> "Lady Lexington" The Promenaders plan a ball for <br /> April 18th <br /> Another ball, restricted to the Centennial <br /> Legion will be held April 19th The Centennial <br /> Legion representative was pleased to hear that the <br /> Norwich University band will precede them in the <br /> parade <br /> A representative of the Royal Lancers band ROYAL LANCERS <br /> of Boston requested consideration by the Committee <br /> for hiring their band. Mr Gustin explained that <br /> we pay transportation costs, but do not hire bands <br /> At this point Mr Gustin outlined the function of <br />
