129 <br /> TOWN CELEBRATIONS COMMITTEE <br /> January 30, 1958 <br /> The twentieth meeting of the Town Celebrations <br /> Committee was held in the conference room, Cary Mem- <br /> orial Hall on January 30, 1958 Present Messrs <br /> Gustin, Poehler, Lewis, Cole, and Mrs Pullen Also <br /> present Mr John Adzigian, Patricia Cutter, Charles <br /> Glenn, high school student council representatives <br /> Mr Adzigian reported that the student council <br /> voted to assume responsibility for hosting the out-of- HIGH SCHOOL <br /> town high school bands after the April 19th parade <br /> Mr. Poehler will apply for the use of the high school <br /> cafeteria and kitchen from 2 to 6 that afternoon Mr <br /> Adzigian also reported that the baseball game between <br /> Concord and Lexingtonon the 19th will be played here <br /> It will be suggested by this committee that the road <br /> race start and finish at the ball park (probably 10 to <br /> 10 30 a.m. ) , after which the game will be played. <br /> The representatives from the student council <br /> were shown a printer' s proof of the proposed birth <br /> Certificate, and after discussion with the committee, <br /> they plan to present the idea of handling the promo- <br /> tion and sale of this item to the Council, and will <br /> report back In publicity they will have the help of <br /> the committee and possibly of the Jack Frost organiza- <br /> tion Mr Gustin plans to ask Mr Seldon Loring for <br /> his suggestions for improving the format <br /> Discussion of choosing "Lady Lexington" was <br /> deferred until the Promenaders can be present. Mrs LADY <br /> Pullen will as the Colby Kelleys, the William Maloneys LEXINGTON <br /> and two representatives of the Promenaders to attend <br /> 4a1. i week' s meeting <br /> Mr Rooney now has the list of all organizations <br /> in Lexington. A joint meeting will be set up ( by whom?) <br /> for February 27th <br /> Representatives of Boy and Girl Scouts, 4H, CYO, <br /> DeMolay and Rainbow will be invited by Mr Cole to the <br /> meeting on Feb 13th to arrange the morning parade <br /> Mr Poehler reported the U N plaques are in <br /> position under the trees at both the Junior and the <br /> Senior High Schools. <br /> Mrs Pullen read letters she has received from <br />
