Celebrations Committee was held in the Conference Room, Cary Memorial Hall, September 12, 1957 at 8:15 p.m All members were present, also Mr Leonard Foster of the Lexington Chamber of Commerce and Mrs Paul Hanson of the League of Women Voters Minutes of the last meeting were read and approved Mr Poehler reported that the tree planted TREE last U N Day has been cared for, and is in good condition The plaque is still in the custodian' s office Motion was made and seconded to have the same type of program for this year, giving tree to the Junior High School Motion scarried. Mrs Cheever was asked to write Mr Smith, with copy to Mr Norlin, that the committee had voted to honor the Junior High School this year Committee wishes to know of the plans to be made for the exercises, alto type of tree desired.
