87 <br /> TOWN CELEBRATIONS COMMITTEE <br /> April 11, 1957 <br /> The eighteenthmeeting of the Town Celebrations <br /> Committee was held in the conference room, Cary Mem- <br /> orial Hall on April 11, 1957 at 8 00 p.m Those <br /> present were Messrs Lewis, Gustin, Gagne, Poehler, <br /> Albertine, Mrs Cheever and Mrs Litchfield <br /> Mr Gustin reported that one or two of the <br /> clergy of the town had spoken to him about marching CLERGY <br /> Motion was made and seconded that the secretary send <br /> an invitation to all clergy to participate in the parage, <br /> marching with the staff Motion carried <br /> Mr. Gustin also reported that the Chamber of Com- <br /> merce had approached him relative to Hankee Homecoming YANKEE <br /> Miss Judi Porter had been chosen queen of Yankee Home- HOMECOMING <br /> coming, and the Chamber of Commerce wanted her to ride <br /> in the parade as Queen of Yankee Homecoming Mrs <br /> Cheever is to contact Mr Marshall of the Chamber of <br /> Commerce <br /> Mr Lewis has arranged for loudspeaker equipment <br /> The ExecuPhone Systems, Inc to take care of this for LOUDSPEAKER <br /> labor only, $6 75 per hr. , time and a half their hourly <br /> rate <br /> Mr Gus tin reported he had talked to Father <br /> Murphy of the Sacred Heart Church by phone Father <br /> Murphy has denied permission to his parishioners to march <br /> in the parade due to April 19th falling on Good Friday <br /> Mr Poehler was appointed to take charge of floats <br /> in the pa-rade-.
