The William Diamond Junior F ife and Drum C orp s is requesting to amend the Battle Green P ermit and Road
C lo s ure reque s t fo r the Mus ter P arad e p rio r to the L exingto n Mus ter to b e held o n S aturd ay, May 4, 2024
from 11:OOam to 1:OOpm. The original requests were approved at the Monday, January 22, 2024 S elect Board
me eting. Due to unfo re s e en c irc ums tanc e s in the area o f the B attle G re en at the time o f the lineup, the
WDJF DC is now requesting that parade participants gather and line up on Militia Drive prior to parading down
Wo rthen R o ad to ward s H as tings P ark, where the L exingto n Mus ter will b e taking p lac e. T he firs t gro up will
s tep o ff to b egin the p arad e at 12:OOp m.
T he P o lic e D ep artment has b e en c o o rd inating the new ro ad c lo s ure with the ap p lic ant and has no o b j ec tio ns to
the new ro ute. T hey will b arric ad e Wo rthen R o ad at the B ed fo rd S tre et Walgre en's and S to p & S ho p and
provide a police escort.
T he ap p lic ant is reque s ting that the B attle G re en P ermit ap p ro ved in J anuary remain ac tive, s o that they have
o p tio ns if s o mething were to c hange. T his wo uld b e to gather o n the G re en o nly and N O T to p arad e in the
immediate area.
SUGGESTED MOTION:
To approve the request o f the William Diamond Junior F ife and Drum C orp s to parade down Worthen Road
from Militia Drive to Hastings Park on Saturday, May 4, 2024 between 11:OOam to 1:OOpm for the purpose of
the L exingto n Mus ter P arad e and s tep p ing o ff at ap p ro ximately 12:OOp m.
