Tri-Ton Coalition Advisory Board <br />Burlington.Lexington.Wilmington <br />• Joanne is attending the Opioid Abatement Conference on March 19th and 20th and invited <br />Katy to attend. <br />• Katy is working on a digital newsletter to send to all staff and BOH members. Joanne <br />will share the staff email addresses with Katy and include the town manager and select <br />board emails. <br /> <br />IV. Municipality Updates <br />• Joanne advised that Lexington Public Health week is coming up in April. The movie <br />screening of Below the Belt will be shown. The movie theater holds 150 people and the <br />owner is not charging for the use of the theater. The cost of the screening is less than the <br />originally anticipated $5000.00 and will cost $1100.00 however there will be a cost to rent <br />the AV equipment. <br />• Katie will send Joanne and Shelly the information on the upcoming Mental Health First <br />Aid training for anyone who would like to attend. The PHE staff should attend this training. <br />• Joanne advised that she will continue to need help with the families in need at the Lexington <br />EA shelter. <br />• Lexington will be holding a vaccination clinic on February 22, 2024. There are only eight <br />children signed up but they will be offering vaccinations to other family members age three <br />and up. Tahycha will be there to assist with translation. <br /> <br />V. Tobacco Funding <br />• Mary Brush is pushing for policy/regulation updates. Model regulations can be used. <br />• Joanne commented that is would be good to have all three communities in sync with the <br />regulations. Joanne can provide Tahycha with what their former contractor had done to <br />update their tobacco regulations. <br />• Tahycha is continuing with her training and is available to help in Lexington and <br />Wilmington. Tahycha is also being trained for pool inspections. <br /> <br />VI. New Business <br />DPH has provided updated eligible spending guidelines that would include the purchase <br />of vaccine refrigerators. <br /> <br />The next meeting will be held on March 20, 2024. <br /> <br />Meeting adjourned at 3:00 PM.
