<br />Greenways Corridor Committee <br />May 1, 2017 <br />Ellen Stone Room, Cary Hall <br />Lexington, Massachusetts <br />Members Present: Mal Crawford, Alex Dohan, Peggy Enders, Eileen Entin, Don Grant, Bob <br />Hausslein, Keith Ohmart, Mike Tabaczynski <br />Other Attendees: none <br />Votes: Minutes from 3/27/2017 meeting: Approved <br /> Letter regarding 0 Grove St “balanced housing" development: Approved <br />Reports/Updates: <br /> Peggy will go to the May 10 Planning Board meeting regarding 0 Grove St. <br /> Bike Walk Bus Week commuter breakfast is May 19. We should have handouts for <br />ACROSS. <br /> Discovery Day also needs ACROSS handouts. Keith will speak with Jordan about tables. <br /> The Open Space map online includes the ACROSS routes. <br />• June 17 is The Longest Day Alzheimer’s walk coordinated by Jeanne Kreiger. It will be <br />based at the Depot and will use ACROSS routes, but we don’t have any specific responsibili- <br />ties. <br />• May 11 is a meeting with the Weston open space team and Emily Schadler. They are inter- <br />ested in creating an ACROSS type program in Weston. <br />• As we do route signage repairs, letters should go on the Arrow signs, not the Logo signs <br />(most of the time). <br />Ongoing Business: <br />• Route H - Four of the posts are in already. A couple of locations are still to be decided for <br />sure, but there are about three more to be installed. Don is available, and Keith is here for 3 <br />more weeks. <br />• Keith has communicated with Shelley Chamberlain at Coppersmyth Way about signage <br />there. <br />• Stump Grinding and Boulder moving at the Lincoln St intersection still need to happen. <br />New Business: <br /> • Transportation Forum - Mal, Mike, & Peggy all attended. Dave Kucharsky is working <br />on prioritizing sidewalks. Smart School signs may be going up in some areas. Later in May <br />there will be some events focussing on safer streets and walkable communities. <br /> • GCC still needs a Recreation liaison <br /> • Board of Selectmen Goal Setting Memo - looking at funding trail maintenance for non- <br />Conservation properties such as the Laconia St school property. Jordan would like to increase <br />weekend ranger hours. Discussion of goals from 2015 & 2016; most of 2015 goals have been <br />met. Due date mid-June. <br /> • Michelson’s Shoe Store is interested in sponsoring a fundraising trail race. <br /> <br />
