<br />We hereby submit a report and recommendations covering the first full year
<br />of operation of the Recreation Committee .
<br />The Committee passed on applications filed for the use of facilities in 1949
<br />as follows : HIGH SCHOOL-Baseball 9, Track 3, Girls' Basketball 2, Girls' Field
<br />Hockey 3, Tennis 5 ond practice, Football 5. JUNIOR HIGH -Baseball 5, Track
<br />1, Football 4. BASEBALL-Paul Revere League 23, Sacred Heart 44, DeMoloy
<br />21, Individual 1. SOFTBALL-Softball League 86, Cub Scouts 35, Sacred Heart
<br />17, Individ ua l 1. TENNIS-Lexington Tennis Association 14, Indiv iduals 2 .
<br />FIREPLACES--Individuals and Organizations 13 . (limited by order of Fire De-
<br />portment. Many requests for Fireplace Permits were refused to non-residents.!
<br />Permits were also issued for the NEAAAU Swimming Meet, the N.E.A.A.A.U.
<br />Girls' Track Meet, the annual pilgrimage of the Boston Council of the Boy Scouts
<br />of America, and to the American legion for the July Fourth celebration.
