REPORT OF TOWN CLERK 75 <br />received for the use or rental of road machinery, the pro- <br />ceeds to be appropriated as voted by the town for road ma- <br />chinery purposes, or take any action in relation. thereto. <br />The Appropriation Committee recommends that the sub- <br />stance of this Article be adopted. <br />Article 27. To see if the Town will vote to appropriate <br />the sum of $8,225.00 to establish a Road Machinery Account <br />for the purpose of purchasing, repairing and operating road <br />machinery. <br />Act <br />Under this Article the Appropriation Committee recom- <br />mends the appropriation of the sum of $6,725.00, and it is <br />further recommended that this money be provided as fol- <br />lows: <br />By direct appropriation <br />By transfer from the 1936 Account <br />for purchase of Highway Dept. Grader <br />transfer from the 1936 Account <br />for purchase of the Highway Dept. Truck <br />$6,608.45 <br />100.00 <br />16.55 <br />Article 28. To see if the Town will authorize the Board <br />.of Selectmen to grant the Lexington Post, Veterans of For- <br />eign Wars, the use of the auditorium in the Cary Memorial <br />Building without charge on six evenings each year, also the <br />use of Estabrook Hall in said building without charge, for <br />the regular meetings of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, or act <br />in any manner in relation thereto. <br />The Appropriation Committee recommends favorable <br />action. <br />Article 29. To see if the Town will vote to accept the <br />provisions of law relative to the compensation of municipal <br />employees who are injured in the- course of their employ- <br />ment under authority of Chapter 260 of the Acts of 1936, as <br />amended by Chapter 403 of the Acts of 1936, and to see if <br />the Town will vote to determine .,the employees for whom <br />compensation insurance shall be provided. <br />The Appropriation Committee reooaYtmend<s;the acceptance <br />76 TOWN OF LEXINGTON <br />of the provisions of law relative to the compensation of <br />municipal employees who are injured in the course of their <br />employment under authority of Chapter 260 of the Acts of <br />1936, as amended by Chapter 403 of the Acts of 1936, and <br />it is further recommended that all employees of the Town <br />be included under the Workmen's Compensation Insurance <br />coverage except the members of the Police and Fire De- <br />partments who are excluded under the terms of the Act. <br />Article 30. To see if the Town will vote to appropriate <br />money to pay any unpaid bills for prior years of the various <br />town departments. <br />Under this Article the Appropriation Committee recom- <br />mends appropriations as follows: <br />For 1935 Bills of the Highway Dept. $403.20 <br />For 1936 Bills of the Public Welfare Dept$641.45 <br />Article 31. To see if the Town will vote to establish as <br />a town way or accept the layout of as a town way, Tower <br />Road, from the present end of acceptance a distance of ap- <br />proximately 80 feet southeasterly, as laid out by the Select- <br />men and shown upon a certain plan on file in the office of the <br />Town Clerk, dated February 10, 1936. <br />The Appropriation Committee makes no recommendation <br />under this Article. <br />Article 32. To see if the Town will vote to appropriate <br />the sum of $125.00 for the purchase of a Map for the use of <br />the Town Meeting Members, or take any other action in re- <br />lation thereto. <br />Under this Article the Appropriation Committee recom- <br />mends the appropriation of the sum of $125.00. <br />Article 33. To see if the Town will vote to amend the <br />Lexington Zoning By -Law and Map as follows : <br />To substitute for the Amendment to the Zoning Law <br />adopted by the Town at the Town Meeting November 7, <br />1930, which reads "Voted : That the town amend the <br />
