<br />It will be noted that the appropriation approved for 1937
<br />is considerably in excess of the expenditures for 1936. The
<br />School Department has stated that during the year 1936.
<br />seven new pupils were enrolled at the various day voca-

<br />tional schools, of which three left the schools. it is stated
<br />that there was also an increase in attendance at the eve-
<br />ning vocational schools and it is anticipated that there will
<br />be five new pupils starting in September 1937. The State'
<br />reimburses the Town for one-half of the amount expended
<br />for tuition of pupils at vocational schools and this amount:
<br />is taken up in the town receipts.
