<br />The Inspector requested an increase in salary from $800.-
<br />00 to $900.00 per annum, but the Board of Selectmen rec-
<br />ommended a continuance of the present salary of $800.00.
<br />The Appropriation Committee approved an allowance
<br />for salary in the amount of $400.00 due to the fact that
<br />there is only a very small amount of work now being re-
<br />quired of the Inspector and it is believed that a salary
<br />of $400.00 per annum is adequate for the work performed.

<br />been approved at $600.00 as an arbitrary figure due to
<br />the fact that the former Superintendent terminated his
<br />connection with the department February lst, and no
<br />permanent Superintendent has as yet been appointed.
<br />The amount approved for clerical expenses is sufficient
<br />to continue the present clerical force at the present rate
<br />of pay. The Board of Selectmen has recommended an
<br />increase in pay to the Clerk which is not approved by the
<br />Appropriation Committee. The item for labor is de -

<br />take care of the necessary maintenance for the current

<br />The amounts approved for salary of Superintendent, sal-
<br />ary of Assistant Superintendent, salary of Consulting

<br />of the amounts paid at the present time. The Board of Se-
<br />lectmen have recommended an increase in salary to the
<br />Superintendent and to the Assistant Superintendent and
<br />it is understood that it is proposed to grant an increase
<br />in salary to the Clerk. These increases are not approved
