REPORT OF TOWN CLERK <br />59 <br />Article 29. To see it the Town will vote to install water <br />mains in such accepted or unaccepted streets as may be applied <br />for during the year 1935 in accordance with authority contain- <br />ed in the By -Laws of the Town, subject to the assessment of <br />betterments, and to take by eminent domain the necessary ease- <br />ment therefor, and appropriate money for said installation of <br />mains by direct appropriation and by transfer from other <br />funds. <br />The Appropriation Committee rceommevdis Haat the <br />substance of this Article be adapted and further rec- <br />ommends the following appropriations and transfers <br />for the installation of the crater mains: <br />From Water Construction—Pleasant-Blossom <br />Streets and Others <br />60 TOWN OF LEXINGTON <br />Article 33. To see if the Town will vote to authorize the <br />Selectmen to install sewers in the following accepted and un- <br />accepted streets, subject to the assessment of betterments, and <br />to take by eminent domain the necessary easements therefor: <br />Blake Avenue, from Edgewood Road to Wadman Cir- <br />cle, a distance of approximately 185 feet; <br />Wadman Circle, from Blake Ave. lo end, a distance <br />of approximately 200 feet; <br />Pinewood Road, from the present end, 1 distance of <br />approximately 125 feet ; <br />Belfry Terrace front ilie present end, a distance of ap- <br />$2,732.37 proximately- 05 feet; <br />From Water Construction--Rcthbins-Pineknoll <br />Roads and Chase Avenue 587.97 <br />From Water Department Available Surplus 3,679.16 <br />Article 30. To see if the Town will vote to establish a new <br />account to be called Sewer Department, Stock Account, and <br />appropriate money for said account. <br />TJie Appropriation Committee recommends the estab- <br />lishment of the Sewer Department Stock Account and <br />further recommends that the .sum of $900.00 be appro- <br />priated under this Article. <br />Article 31. To see if the Town will vote to transfer from <br />ether funds or appropriate additional money for the Trunk <br />Litre Sewer Account. <br />The Appropriation Committee recommends that the <br />sum of $2,000.00 be appropriated under this Article. <br />Article 32. To see if the Town will vote to authorize the <br />construction of a trunk line sewer extending from the Boston <br />& 1%laine R. R. at the Arlington Line northeasterly a distance <br />of approximately 1001) feet to a point jest easterly of Rindge <br />Avenue, and provide funds for said installation by direct ap- <br />propriation, by the issue of bonds or notes or otherwise. <br />The Appropriation Committee .recommends that this <br />Article be indefinitely postponed. <br />awl provide funds for said installation by direct appropriation <br />or by transfer front other funds. <br />The Appropriation- Committee recommends the instal- <br />lation of sewers in the four streets as specified in this <br />Article and further recommends the appropriation and <br />transfer of ,:5,215.00 frorn+. the Sewer Assessment fund <br />to meet the cost of such installations. <br />Article 34. To see if the Town will vote 1.o appropriate <br />stoney for the completion of the disposal of surface drainage in <br />East Lexington as authorized by the vote of the Town, March <br />19, 1934. <br />The Appropriation Committee recommends that the <br />sum, of $5,000.00 be appropriated under this Article. <br />Article 35. To sec if the Town will make provisions for <br />the disposal of surface drainage in Haskell Street, Lowell <br />Street and private lands by the construction of drains or con- <br />duits, or diversion or relocation of brooks and for that purpose <br />take lands or easements by Eminent Domain and provide for <br />the payment therefor by direct appropriation. <br />1'he Appropriation Committee recommends favorable <br />action on this Article and further recommends that the <br />SUM of .4,000.00 be appropriated. <br />Article 36. To sec if the Town will vote to purchase and <br />accept from Peter J. and Margaret E. Kinneen the conveyance <br />
