ANNUAL REPORTS 65 <br />Art. 5. To see if the Town will authorize the Selectmen <br />to install sewers in the following streets: <br />Bedford Street, from Tewksbury Street northerly a dis- <br />tance of approximately 120 feet; <br />Pinewood Street, from Summit Road northwesterly a dis- <br />tance of approximately 241 feet; <br />Cherry Street, from Taft Avenue northerly a distancs of <br />approximately 180 feet; <br />Cary Street, from Taft Avenue northerly a distance of <br />approximately 270 feet; <br />Taft Avenue from Massachusetts Avenue toward Charles <br />Street a distance of approximately 1050 feet; <br />and appropriate money for said sewer construction by direct <br />appropriation or by transfer from other accounts. <br />Art. 6. To see if the Town will vote to acquire from Sam <br />Lippa of Lexington, Massachusetts, his rights in water pipe <br />laid in Fottler Avenue in the year 1921 and pay him the sum <br />of $392.54 therefor and to provide funds for same by direct <br />appropriation or by transfer from other accounts. <br />Art. 7. To see if the town will vote to establish a Water <br />Department Assessments Account. <br />Art. 8. To see if the Town will vote to install water <br />mains in the following unaccepted streets, subject to the <br />usual guarantee or the assessment of betterments and to <br />take by emient domain the necessary easement therefor: <br />Taft Avenue from Massachusetts Avenue toward Charles <br />Street, a distance of approximately 1050 feet; <br />Cherry Street from Taft Avenue northerly a distance of <br />approximately 180 feet ; <br />Cary Street from Taft Avenue northerly a distance of <br />approximately 270 feet; <br />Gleason Road from North Hancock Street to Dee Road, <br />a distance of approximately 500 feet; <br />Pine Knoll Road running parallel with the Bedford Town <br />Line in a northerly direction, a distance of approximately <br />1520 feet; <br />and provide funds for said installation by direct appropria- <br />66 TOWN OF LEXINGTON <br />tion and by transfer from Water Department Surplus Ac- <br />count, also to provide funds for other emergency construc- <br />tion. <br />Art. 9. To see if the Town will vote to replace the four <br />inch water main in Bedford Street with a six inch main from <br />Westview Street in a northerly direction a distance of ap- <br />proximately 1500 feet, and provide funds for said replace- <br />ment by direct appropriation. <br />Art. 10. To see if the Town will vote to fix the salaries of <br />the Town Clerk, Town Treasurer and Tax Collector to con- <br />form to the vote on salary reductions passed March 20, 1933, <br />at the Town Meeting. <br />Art. 11. To see if the Town will vote to amend the Zon- <br />ing By -Law and Zoning Map by changing from a C. 1 District <br />to an M. 1 District the following described parcel of land <br />owned by Robert L. Innis and Dougal McLennan: <br />Beginning at a point in the southeasterly line of <br />Grant Street, said point being northeasterly and distant <br />about 158 feet from the northeasterly exterior line of <br />Massachusetts Avenue, thence northeasterly by said <br />Line of Grant Street distant 142.7 feet, thence south- <br />easterly by land of Boston and Lowell Railroad Corpora- <br />tion distant 139.4 feet, thence southwesterly by land of <br />Town of Lexington distant 138.5 feet thence north- <br />westerly by land of Caroline A. Harrington distant <br />140 feet to point of beginning. <br />Art. 12. To see if the Town will authorize the necessary <br />conveyances to straighten the boundary line of the East <br />Lexington Playground and for that purpose will authorize <br />the Selectmen to convey to Charles R. Joy, parcels 1 and 3 on <br />a "Plan Showing Relocation of Playground Property Line, <br />Lexington, Massachusetts, May 1, 1933, John T. Cosgrove, <br />Town Engineer" on file in the office of the Town Clerk, in <br />consideration of the conveyance to the town by the said <br />Joy of parcel 2 on the said plan, the said land to be con- <br />veyed by the town being part of the premises heretofore <br />taken by eminent domain by the town from the estate of <br />Ellen Stone, the officer in charge thereof having notified the <br />Selectmen that in his opinion such land is no longer required <br />for public purposes, or act in any manner relating thereto. <br />Art. 13.
