<br />the War Department of the United States.
<br />Art. 19. To see if the Town will vote to install a water
<br />main in ?North Street from Lowell Street, a distance of ap-
<br />proximately320(1 feet, subject to the usual guarantee, and ap-
<br />propriate inoney for saki installation by the issuance of bonds
<br />or notes or by transfer from other accounts.
<br />Art. 20. To see if the Town will vote to transfer sums
<br />from the following accounts to the Excess and Deficiency
<br />Account:
<br />New Headquarters, Fire Station—Architects' Plans and
<br />Contractors' Bids
<br />Carvil]e Avenue (Installation of Drain) .96
<br />Clark Street (installation of Drain) 1.62

<br />Art. 71, To see if the Town will amend Article VIII of the
<br />Code of By -Laws of 1922 by adding at the end thereof the
<br />following:
<br />"Section 2. The Selectmen, when duly author-
<br />ized by the Town, may adopt orders for the exten-
<br />sion of water mains under General Laws, Chapter 80,
<br />with respect to the assessment of betterments, with-
<br />out requiring the agreement described in Section 1."
<br />And you are directed to serve this Warrant seven days at
<br />least before the time of said meeting as provided in the By -
<br />Laws of the Town.
<br />$2,000.00 Hereof, fail not, and make due return on this Warrant,
<br />with your doings thereon, to the Town Clerk, on or before the
<br />time of said meeting.

<br />Art. 21. To see if the Town will vote to accept the gifts
<br />offered in the following extracts of the Will of Miss Amy E.
<br />Taylor, late of Lexington:—
<br />Clause 30. Whereas, my father, George W. Taylor, late
<br />of Lexington, deceased some years ago presented to the Town
<br />of Lexington, a flag pole, which now stands on Lexington
<br />Common, if such provision has not already been made, I them
<br />give, devise and bequeath to the Inhabitants of the Town of
<br />Lexington, in trust nevertheless, the sum of Two Thousand
<br />Dollars, this fund to be known as the "GEORGE W. TAYLOR
<br />FLAG FUND" the income to he used for the care, preserva-
<br />tion and replaceluent of said fiag pole, or for the purchase of
<br />new flags; any balance of income from said fund to be used for
<br />the care of Lexington Common.
<br />Cause 31. If I shall not have made such provision in my
<br />lifetime, I give, devise and bequeath to the Inhabitants of the
<br />Town of Lexington, the sum of Two Thousand Dollars, said
<br />fund to be known as the GEORGE W. TAYLOR TREE
<br />FUND", in trust, nevertheless, the income of which is to be
<br />expended for the care, purchase or preservation of trees for
<br />the adornment of said Town.
<br />Clause 41. I hereby bequeath to the Town of Lexington
<br />the sum of Five Hundred Dollars to be used for the perpetual
<br />care of the GEORGE W. TAYLOR LOT in the Munroe Cem-
<br />etery in said Town of Lexington. It is my wish and desire to
<br />have some special care and decoration on said lot on Memorial
<br />Day and on June 25th of each year.

<br />To the Town Clerk:
<br />I have notified the inhabitants of Lexington by posting
<br />printed copies of the foregoing Warrant in the Post Office, in
<br />the Vestibule of the Town Office Building and six other public
<br />places in the Town, and by mailing a, printed copy of the
<br />same to every registered voter in the Town seven days before
<br />the time of said meeting.
