TOWN OF LEXINGTON 15 <br />One Town Meeting Member in Precinct Two for one year (to <br />fill vacancy), <br />One Town Meeting Member in Precinct Four for one year (to <br />fill vacancy). <br />The polls will be open at 6:00 A. M. and will remain open <br />until 8:00 P. M. <br />You are also to notify the inhabitants aforesaid to meet in <br />Cary Memorial Hall in said Town on Monday, the twenty-first <br />day of March. 1932 at 8 :00 P..M., at which time and place the <br />following articles are to be acted upon and determined ex- <br />clusively by the town meeting members, in accordance with <br />Chapter 215 of the Acts of 1929 and subject to the referendum <br />provided for by section eight of said chapter. <br />Art. 2. To receive the report of any Board of Town Offic- <br />ers or of any Committee of the Town, and to appoint other <br />Committees. <br />Art. 3. To choose such Town officers as are required by <br />law and are usually chosen by nomination. <br />Art. 4. To see if the Town will authorize their Treasurer, <br />under the direction of the Selectmen, to borrow money for any <br />necessary purposes, in anticipation of revenue for the current <br />year, the same to be repaid directly from the proceeds of said <br />revenue, or act in any manner relative thereto. <br />Art. 5. To see if the Town will make the usual appropria- <br />tions for Town Expenses for the ens►,ing year, or act in any <br />manner relating thereto. <br />Art. 6. To see if the Town will make an appropriation <br />for the Suppression of Gypsy and Brown Tail Moths, in ac- <br />cordance with Chapter 132, General Laws, or aet in any man- <br />ner relating thereto. <br />Art. 7. To see if the Town will vote to appropriate and as- <br />sess an amount of money to be used as a Reserve Fund as pro- <br />vided by Chapter 40, section 6, General Laws, or take any ac- <br />tion relating thereto. <br />Art. 8. To see if the Town will appropriate funds for the <br />payment of pensions to retired members of the Police and Fire <br />Departments under Chapter 32. General Laws, or act in any <br />manner relating thereto. <br />Art. 9. To see if the Town will vote to appropriate money <br />for the use of the Water Department and payment of water <br />debt, and to provide same by issuance of bonds, notes or by di - <br />16 ANNUAL REPORTS <br />rest appropriation or by transfer from other accounts, or by <br />any or all of such methods, or take any other action relating <br />thereto. <br />Art. 10. To see if the Town will vote to authorize the Se- <br />lectmen to petition the Director of Accounts of the State for <br />an audit for the year 1932. <br />Art. 11. To see if the Town will vote to appropriate money <br />for the support of a Posture Clinic, to be expended under the <br />direction of the Board of Health or by a committee appoint- <br />ed by said Board, or act in any manner relating thereto. <br />Art. 12. To see if the Town will vote to appropriate money <br />for Old Age Assistance in accordance with General Laws, <br />Chapter 118A inserted by Acts of 1930, Chapter 402 or act in <br />any manner relating thereto. <br />Art. 13. To see if the Town will vote to appropriate money <br />for the painting and repair of the Public Works Department <br />building located on Bedford Street. <br />Art. 14. To see if the Town will vote to transfer the sum <br />of $1,830.69 to the Cary Library Account, the same being the <br />sum received frons the Middlesex County for dog fees. <br />Art. 15. To see if the Town will accept an offer from Caro- <br />line A. Harrington and authorize the Selectmen to execute an <br />agreement with her for the settlement of her petition against <br />the Town for the assessment of damages for the taking of the <br />easement of a building line across her property at the corner <br />of Massachusetts Avenue and Grant Street and for the con- <br />veyance to the Town of the land between. the said building line <br />and the street together with certain rights in Vine Brook and <br />authorize payment for the same by the issue of bands of notes <br />or by direct appropriation. <br />Art. 16. To see if the Town will vote to appropriate money <br />for the celebration of the 200th Anniversary of the Birth of <br />George Washington. <br />Art. 17. To see if the Town will authorize the Board of <br />Assessors in determining the rate of Taxation to be levied on <br />taxable property for the year to include in the estimated re- <br />ceipts lawfully applicable to the payment of expenditures, <br />such free cash in the treasury, not exceeding $10,000, as may <br />be approved in writing by the Commissioner of Corporations <br />and Taxation. <br />Art. 18. To see if the Town will take any action to express <br />to the proper officials of the Federal Government its opinion <br />
