<br />Art. 50. To hear the report of the
<br />Committee appointed at the Town
<br />Meeting held December 17, 1920,
<br />"To investigate the advisability of
<br />any change in the form of government
<br />of the Town," and to take any action
<br />thereon. In the event that it is
<br />decided to continue such committee,
<br />to see if the Town will appropriate
<br />any money to cover the expenses of
<br />such committee for printing and
<br />postage, or to take any other action
<br />with reference thereto.
<br />Hereof, fail not, and make due re-
<br />turn of this Warrant, with your do-
<br />ings thereon, to the Town Clerk, on
<br />or before the time of said meeting.
<br />Given under our hands, at Lexing-

<br />I have notified the inhabitants of
<br />Lexington by posting printed copies
<br />of the foregoing Warrant in the Post
<br />Office and in nine other public places
<br />in the Town, and by mailing a printed
<br />copy of the same to every registered
<br />voter in the Town ten days before
<br />the time of said meeting.

<br />March 7, 1921
<br />The meeting was called to order by
<br />Moderator Joseph R. Cotton at
<br />seven o'clock A. M. The Moderator
<br />then appointed Mr. William M. Scam -
<br />man, Chairman of the Board of
<br />Selectmen, as Presiding Officer.
<br />The Town Clerk procceded to read
<br />the Warrant but the meeting voted
<br />to suspend further reading of the
<br />same. The Constables' return was
<br />then read.
<br />Marion W. Jackson, Katherine A.
<br />Kiernan, James A. Hurley arid Theo-
<br />dore A. Custance were sworn as
<br />Ballot Clerks, and the polls were de-
<br />clared open.
<br />Samuel B. Bigelow, Allston M.
<br />Redman, Robert Sturtevant, Wal-
<br />lace E. Miller, William M. Scamman,
<br />Melvin W. Hinds, Wallace Wright,
<br />Charles M. Blake, Norman C. Hooper,
<br />Patrick F. Dacey, Bartlett J. Har-
<br />rington, William C. O'Leary, Na-
<br />thaliiel Nunn, John J. Garrity,
<br />Thomas J. Doherty, William O'Con-
<br />nor, and James L. McKenzie were
<br />sworn as Tellers.
<br />At 9:40 A. M. 400 ballots were
<br />taken from the box; at 11:25 A. M.
<br />300 ballots were taken from the box;
<br />at 1:25 P. M. 200 ballots were taken
<br />from the box; at 2:55 P. M. 200 bal-
<br />lots were taken from the box; at
<br />3:30 P. M. 200 ballots were taken
<br />from the box; at 4:40 P. M, 200 bal-
<br />lots were taken from the box; at
<br />5:00 P. M. 79 ballots were taken from
<br />the box, making a total of 1579
<br />ballots cast.
<br />The same number of names were
<br />checked on each voting list. The
<br />dial on the ballot box registered
<br />1580. After the votes had been
<br />counted the Town Clerk announced
<br />the result at seven fifteen o'clock
<br />P. M. as follows:
