To see if the Town will <br />vote to authorize the Selectmen to <br />apply the proceeds from the sale of <br />the Town Farm property towards <br />the purchase of a site for the erection <br />of a centralized municipal yard, or <br />act in any manner relating thereto. <br />Art. 46. To see if the Town will <br />vote to appropriate a sum of money <br />for the construction of that portion <br />of Highland Avenue between Bloom- <br />field Street and Winthrop Road as <br />laid out by the Board of Selectmen <br />by their order dated February 15, <br />1921, or take any action relative <br />thereto. <br />Art. 47. To see if the Town will <br />authorize the Park Commissioners <br />to acquire by purchase or otherwise <br />for Park purposes the following des- <br />cribed parcels of land: <br />PARCEL 1 A certain parcel of <br />land situated in East Lexington <br />on the easterly side of the Boston <br />& Maine Railroad and shown on <br />a copy of a plan entitled "Plan <br />of East Lexington Annex, East <br />Lexington, Mass.," November, <br />1917, by Clarence E. Carter, C. <br />E., Reading, Mass., and shown <br />as Parcel "B" on said plan ex- <br />cepting therefrom the following <br />lots, 104 and 105; 90 and 91; <br />97 to 99 inclusive; 94 ' to 96 <br />inclusive; said parcel with ex- <br />ceptions noted belonging to or <br />supposed to belong to the Su- <br />burban Land Company. <br />PARCEL 2 Lots 90 and 91 be- <br />longing to or supposed to belong <br />to Lawrence M. E., Reading, <br />Mass., and further described <br />and bounded as follows: com- <br />mencing at the northeasterly <br />corner of lot 124 as shown on <br />said plan, thence running easter- <br />ly partly on the old wall 293.14 <br />feet to an old oak; thence turning <br />and running northerly on the <br />line extended from the easterly <br />boundary of lot 142 as shown on <br />said plan, 22 feet more or less <br />to the northerly boundary of <br />an old right of way; thence turn- <br />ing and running westerly by <br />the broken line as shown on <br />said plan to the point of begin- <br />ning, being the same premises <br />conveyed to the Suburban Land <br />Company by deed of the Town <br />of Arlington, dated June 18, 1919, <br />and duly recorded with Middle- <br />sex South District Deeds, Book <br />4264, Page 44. <br />Make an appropriation for the same, <br />determine in what manner the money <br />shall be raised, or take any action <br />relating thereto. <br />Art. 48. To see if the Town will <br />authorize the Selectmen to enter into <br />a proposed agreement with the De- <br />partment of Public Works, Division <br />of Highways of the State and the <br />County Commissioners of Middle- <br />sex County for the reconstruction <br />of Lowell Street from Summer Street <br />to Woburn Street and Maple Street <br />from Lowell Street to Massachusetts <br />Avenue, that portion of Lowell Street <br />from Summer Street to Maple Street <br />and Maple Street to be laid out as a <br />State highway and maintained as <br />such, and provide for the raising of <br />the necessary funds to cover the <br />Town's share by the issuance of <br />Bonds or Notes of the Town provided <br />said agreement is consummated, or <br />take any action relative thereto. <br />Art. 49. To see if the Town will <br />authorize the Selectmen to enter into <br />a proposed agreement with the De- <br />partment of Public Works, Division <br />of Highways of the State and the <br />County Commissioners of Middlesex <br />County for the construction of a <br />state highway from the end of Sum- <br />mer Street at its junction with Lowell <br />Street ,across the lands of various <br />owners in a westerly direction to <br />Maple Street at or about the land of <br />George Nelson, thence by Maple <br />Street to Massachusetts Avenue as <br />shown on a plan submitted by the <br />Department of Public Works, Divi- <br />sion of Highways of the State and <br />provide for the raising of the necessary <br />funds to cover the Town's share by <br />
