<br />On motion of Theodore A. Custance the following votes
<br />were passed unanimously:
<br />"Voted: that the Town accept the lay out as a town
<br />way of Cliffe Avenue from Bow Street to Cummings Avenue,
<br />as laid out by the Selectmen September 16, 1024, and shown
<br />on a certain plan on file in the Town Clerk's office, entitled.
<br />"Plan of Cliffe Avenue, Lexington, Mass., September 9, 1924,
<br />Scale 1 inch -90 feet, Clarence B. French, Town Engineer."
<br />Article 10. "Voted: that the Town accept the lay out
<br />as a town way of Arcadia Avenue from Melrose Avenue to
<br />Rawson Avenue, as laid out by the Selectmen September
<br />16, 1924, and shown on a certain plan on file in the Town
<br />Clerk's office, entitled, "Plan of Arcadia Avenue, Lexington,
<br />Mass., September 9, 1924, Scale 1 inch -40 feet, Clarence
<br />13. French, Town Engineer."
<br />Article 10. "Voted: that the Town accept the lay out
<br />as a town way of Wilson Avenue from Bow Street to
<br />Melrose Avenue, as laid out by the Selectmen, September
<br />16, 1924, and shown on a certain plan on file z nthe Town
<br />Clerk's office, entitled, "Plan of Wilson Avenue, Lexington,
<br />Mass. September 9, 1924, Scale 1 inch -40 feet, Clarence
<br />E. French, Town Engineer."
<br />Article 10. "Voted: that the Town accept the lay out
<br />as a town way of Carville Avenue from Oak Street to Butler
<br />Avenue, as laid out by the Selectmen, September 16, 1924,
<br />and shown on a certain plan on file in the Town Clerk's
<br />office intitled. "Plan of Carville Avenue, Lexington, Mass.,
<br />June 24, 1924, Seale 1 inch -40 feet, Clarence B. French,
<br />Town Engineer."
<br />Article 10. "Voted: that the Town accept the lay out
<br />as a town way of Grant Street from Sherman Street to
<br />Hayes Lane, as laid out by the Selectmen September 19,
<br />1924, and shown on a certain plan on file in the Town Clerk's
<br />office, entitled, "Plan of Grant Street, Lexington, Mass.,
<br />September 25, 1924, Seale 1 inch -40 feet, Clarence E.
<br />French, Town Engineer."
<br />Article 10. On motion of Theodore A. Custance it was
<br />unanimously
<br />"Voted: that the sum of ($15,000) fifteen thousand dol-
<br />lars be appropriated for the construction of the following
<br />streets:C]iffe A venuefrom Bow Street to Cummings Avenue;
<br />Arcadia Avenue from Melrose Avenue to Rawson Avenue;
<br />Carville Avenue from Oak Street to Butler Avenue and

<br />Grant Steet from Sherman Street to Hayes Lane, and pro-
<br />vide same by the issuance of bonds or notes under the au-
<br />thority of and in accordance with the provisions of -Lex-
<br />ington Highway Loan Act of 1921," and that the Tov'n
<br />Treasurer be and hereby is authorized to sell, under the di-
<br />rection and with the approval of the Selectmen bonds or
<br />notes of the town bearing interest at a rate not to exceed
<br />5%."
<br />Article 9. On motion of Latimer S. Seaver Article 9
<br />was taken up.
<br />Edward Wood moved indefinite postponement, but his
<br />motion was lost.
<br />Mr. Theodore Custance, after some explanation, moved
<br />that, the article be indefinitely postponed, and it was so
<br />voted.
<br />Article 5. On motion of Albert 11, Burnham it was un-
<br />animously, "Voted, That the Selectmen be authorized to in-
<br />stall six inch water mains subject to the usual guarantee
<br />on the following unaccepted streets: Moreland Avenue,
<br />Swan Avenue, Oakland Avenue and Williams Avenue, a dis-
<br />tance of approximately 2800 feet, In private land from
<br />Lowell Street to Laconia Street and in Laconia Street a total
<br />distance of approximately 1950 feet; Hamilton Road, a dis-
<br />tance of approximately 660 feet; Melrose Avenue and Al-
<br />bemarle Avenue, a distance of approximately 725 feet;
<br />Sunnyknoll Avenue a distance of 650 feet, and that the sum
<br />for the purpose and for raising the money so appropriated
<br />the Town Treasurer be and hereby is authorized to sell
<br />under the direction of and with the approval of the Select-
<br />men bonds or notes of the Town of the sum of Twenty-five
<br />thousand dollars bearing interest at a rate not to exceed
<br />five percent issued and payable as provided by law."
<br />Oakland Avenue was substituted for Rockville Avenue.
<br />as called for in the Article, upon motion of Edward C. Stone.
<br />Article 6. On motion of Albert H. Burnham, it was
<br />unanimously, "Voted: That the Selectmen be authorized to
<br />install a water main of such size as the Selectmen may de-
<br />termine, subject to the usual guarantee, in Lowell Street
<br />a distance of approximately 3150 feet, and that (1,0001
<br />Eleven thousand dollars be appropriated for the purpose
<br />and for raising the money so appropriated the Town Treas-
<br />urer be and hereby is authorized to sell under the direction
<br />of and with the approval of the Selectmen, bonds or notes
