TOWN OF LEXINGTON 77 <br />TOWN WARRANT <br />Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Middlesex, ss. <br />To either of the Constables of the town of Lexington, • <br />in said County, Greeting: <br />In the name of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts <br />you are directed to notify the inhabitants of the Town of <br />Lexington, qualified to vote in elections and in town affairs <br />to meet in the Town Hall, in said Lexington, on Monday, <br />the sixth day of October, A. D., 1924, at eight o'clock P. M., <br />then and there to act on the following articles: <br />Article 1. To receive the report of any Board of Town <br />Officers or of any Committee of the Town for action there- <br />on, and to appoint other Committees. <br />Article 2. To see if the Town will rescind the vote of <br />October 8, 1923, authorizing a loan of $3850.00 for install <br />ation of water mains on Cedar Street, or act in any manner <br />relating thereto. <br />Article 3, To se^ if the town will vote to amend the <br />vote passed under Art. 8 of the meeting June 26, 1924, by <br />adding; at the end of the vote the words "any bonds or notes <br />issued under this vote are to be under the authority of and <br />in acordance with the provisions of 'The Town of Lexing- <br />ton Sewer Loan Act of 1913."' <br />Article 4. To see if the Town will authorize the Select- <br />men to furnish snow plow service on Bridle Path, a distance <br />of about three hundred (300) feet, make an appropriation <br />for the same or act in any manner relating thereto. <br />Article 5. To see if the Town wil extend water mains <br />in the following unaccepted streets: Moreland Avenue, <br />Swan Avenue, Rockville Avenue and Williams Avenue a <br />distance of approximately 2800 feet: In private land from <br />Lowell Street to Laconia Street and in Laconia Street a <br />total distance of approximately 1950 feet; I3amilton Road, <br />a distance ofanproximately 660 feet; Melrose and Albemarle <br />Avenues, a distance of approximately 726 feet:. Sunny- <br />1•noil Avenue a distance of 650 feet, appropriate money for <br />the same by the issuance of bon- s, notes, or otherwise, or <br />i8 ANNUAL REPORT <br />act in any manner relating thereto. <br />Article 6. To see if the Town will extend water mains <br />in Lowell Street from the end of the present main a dist- <br />ance of approximately 3150 feet, appropriate money for <br />the same by the issuance of bonds, notes, or otherwise, or <br />act in any manner relating thereto. <br />Article 7. To see if the Town will vote to appropriate <br />money for the construction of additional sewers and to pro- <br />vide for the same by the issuance of bonds under author- <br />ity of and in accordance with the provisions of "The Town <br />of Lexington Sewer Loan Act of 1913." or act in any man- <br />ner relating thereto. <br />Article 8. To see if the Town will vote to authorize. <br />the Selectmen to install street lights on the following, un- <br />accepted street: Hillside Avenue, East Lexington. <br />Article 9. To see if the town will vote to est:rbli.sh a:s <br />town ways or to accept the lay out as town ways of an ex- <br />tension of Forest Street to Massachusetts Avenue; also <br />J 'ekscn Court from Parker Street to Forest Street Exten- <br />sion, all as laid out by the Selectmen, and as shown upon a <br />certain plan on file in the office of the Town Clerk, or act <br />in any manner relating thereto. <br />Article 10. To see if the town will vote to establish <br />as town ways, or to accept the lay out as town ways, the <br />following streets: Chile 'Avenue from Bow Street to Cum- <br />mings Avenue; Arcadia Avenue from Melrose Avenue to <br />Lawson Avenue; Wilson Avenue from Bow Street to Mel- <br />rose Avenue; Carville Avenue from Oak Street to Butler <br />Avenue; Grant Street from Sherman: Street to Hayes <br />Lane, all as laid out by the electmen and as shown upon <br />certain plans on file in the office of the Town Clerk, appro- <br />priate money therefor, either by issue of bonds, notes or <br />otherwise. for the construction of said streets under the <br />Betterment Act, providing the abutters comply with all <br />the requirements, or act in any manner relating thereto. <br />Article 11. To see if the town will vote to change the <br />name of St. Margaret Avenue to Woodland Road, or act in <br />any manner relating thereto. <br />Article 12. To see if the town will vote to provide <br />sniiciept money to care for the following Accounts for <br />the balance of the year: Insurance; Police; Libraries; <br />Parks and Playgrounds; Lowering; Brooks: either he <br />transfer of unexpended balances or issue of notes or bonds <br />
