On either side of Bedford Street from <br />the southerly line of the property now known as the <br />Colonial Garage to the northerly line of the property oc- <br />cupied by Custance Brothers' carpenter shop, <br />District 4. On either side of Bedford Street from <br />its junction with Reed Street to a point two hundred (200) <br />feet beyond the northerly line of the junction of North <br />Hancock Street with said Bedford Street, and also on <br />either FAfie of North Hancock Street northerly a distance <br />i f four hundred (400) feet. <br />District 5. On either side of Massachusetts Avenue <br />between Cedar and Lake Streets. <br />District 6. On either side of each intersecting street <br />a distance of two hundred (200) feet from the junction <br />of Middle, and Waltham Streets. <br />District 7. On either side of each intersecting; street <br />a distance of two hundred (200) feet from the junction <br />of Lincoln, School and Marrett Streets. <br />District 8. On either side of each ietersecti-i.c- <br />strect a distance of two hundred (200) feet from the ,junc- <br />tion of Waltham Street and Concord Avenue. <br />All the foregoing districts designated for comrnerci:.l <br />purposes shall have a depth extending back a distance <br />'CIF one hundred and fifty (150) feet from the street line. <br />ARTICLE 3 <br />Manufacturing Purposes. <br />Section 1. The following districts may be used f . <br />the cn grim on of light manufacturing and may also <br />any uses permitted in Article 1 and Article 2. Hamel-•; <br />District 1. From where Valley Road crosses said <br />rail oad location along the northerly line of said location o <br />the Bedford Town Line. <br />Said districts to extend a depth of three hundred <br />(300) feet from line of the location of said railroad. <br />ARTICLE 4 <br />Existing Buildings. <br />Section 1. Any building or part of a building which <br />at the time of the adoption of these by-laws is being used <br />for a purpose which does not conform to the restrictions <br />of the district wherein it is situated may be permitted to <br />continue in such use and may also and is hereby allowed <br />to he enlarged and auxiliary buildings may be built for the <br />purpose of accommodating additional business of such <br />business as is at present carried on. <br />Section 2. Nothing in the preceding section shall be <br />construed to effect any building for which a permit has <br />leen i,tsreo and upon which work has been commenced <br />hr;or to the adoption of this by-law. <br />Section 3. Alt public parks, playgrounds, churcLot, <br />lodges, schools and land or buildings belonging to or oc- <br />cupied by. the United States Government, or the Common- <br />wealth shall be exempt from the requirements of this <br />by-law. <br />ARTICLE 5 <br />Enforcement and Penalties. <br />Suction 1. This by-law shall be enforced by the <br />Building Inenector and his decision in any smatter relative <br />thereto, shall be subject to a review of the Board of Ap- <br />peal as provided for in the Building Laws of the Town. <br />Section 2. The jurisdiction of courts in equity and <br />at law and penalties for violation of any. of the provisions <br />of this by-law shall he the same as are provided for vio- <br />lations of the Ridding Laws of the Town. <br />ARTICLE 6 <br />Amendments <br />Section 1.
