<br />soon as practicable, accompanied with such recommenda-
<br />tions as may seem best. The Committee shall have no
<br />authority to enter into any agreement with the Trustees or
<br />to commit the Town in any way, the Committee being only
<br />a Conference Committee to obtain information and make
<br />report with recommendations."
<br />Frederick L. Emery moved that the Special Town
<br />Meeting be adjourned. Mr. Sydney Wrightington moved a
<br />point of order. Edwin A. Bayley moved to adjonrn
<br />both meetings. Mr. Emery gave leave to Mr. Bayley's
<br />amendment. The [notion to adjourn was Lost.
<br />ART. 19. On motion of Edward Wood it was unani-
<br />mously VOTED, that Article 19 be indefinitely postponed.
<br />ART. 20. On motion of Edwin A. Bayley it was
<br />unanimously "VOTED, that the subject matter of this
<br />article be referred to the Selectmen to investigate and
<br />make such recommendations as they deem advisably, as soon
<br />as possible.
<br />ART. 25. On motion of Albert II. Burnham it was
<br />unanimously "VOTED, that the Selectmen be authorized
<br />to provide for the laying of a sewer main in Massachusetts
<br />Avenue from Bow Street northeasterly, a distance of 365
<br />feet, thence through Charles Street southwesterly, a dist-
<br />ance of 140 feet to Cherry Street, so-called, at an expense
<br />of $2000, and for the purpose of raising the money so

<br />rate not to exceed 5% per annum, issued and payable as

<br />ART. 26. On motion of Albert 11. Burnham it was
<br />unanimously "VOTED that the Selectmen be authorized to
<br />install 6" and 8" water mains in Grape Vine Avenue, Hayes
<br />Lane and Fletcher Avenue. subject to the usual guarantee,
<br />for a distance of 1450 feet at an expense of 85.200. and that
<br />for the purpose of raising- the money, the Town Treasurer
<br />be and hereby is authorized to sell. under the direction of
<br />and with the approval of the Selectmen, bonds or notes of
<br />the town bearing interest at a rate not to exceed 5%, issued
<br />and nayable as provided by law."
<br />ART. 30. On motion of Albert H. Burnham. it was
<br />unanimously: "VOTED, that the Selectmen be authorized
<br />to install a 6" water main in Bennett and Tarbell Avenues

<br />for a distance of 800 feet, subject to the usual guarantee in.
<br />private ways, and that $2600 be appropriated for that pur-
<br />pose and for raising tine money so appropriated, the Town
<br />Treasurer be and hereby is authorized to sell under the
<br />direeiion of and with the. approval of the Selectmen, bonds
<br />or notes of the Town bearing interest at a rate not to exceed
<br />, issued and payable as provided by law."
<br />ART. 33. On motion of Albert H. Burnham it was
<br />unanimously, "VOTED, that the Selectmen be authorized
<br />to install a 6" water main at a cost of 3a;(10 in Spring street,
<br />flan diddle Street southeasterly a distance of 000 feet
<br />and for the purpose of raising the money so ap-
<br />propriated. the Town Treasurer be and hereby is author-
<br />ized to sell under the direction and with the approval of the
<br />Selectmen, a note or notes of the Town bearing interest
<br />at a rate not to exceed 5% per annum, issued and payable
<br />Os provided by law."
<br />ART. 17. On motion of Albert H. Burnham, it was
<br />unanimously. "VOTED, that the Selectmen be authorized
<br />to install a 6" water mein in Bridge Street. Parson Street
<br />and Grassiand Street, a distance of 2775 feet, subject to the
<br />usual guarantee in private ways,—and that the sum of
<br />$0,000 be appropriated for that purpose and for raising the
<br />money so appropriated, the Town Treasurer be and hereby
<br />is authorized to sell under the direction of and with the
<br />approval of the Selectmen. bonds w• notes of the Town bear-
<br />ing interest at a rate not to exeed 5% per annum, payable
<br />as required by law."
<br />ART. 23. On motion of Albert H. Burnham, it was
<br />unanimo:ish, "VOTED, that the Selectmen be authorized to
<br />install a 6" water main in Blossom Street, subject to the
<br />usual guarantee, fr•em the terminus of the present main
<br />easterly for a distance of 1500 feet at a cost of $5.250. That
<br />for the purpose of raising the money so appropriated. the
<br />Town Treasurer be and hereby is authorized to sell, under
<br />the direction and with the approval of the Selectmen, a note
<br />or notes of the Town bearing interest at a rate not to exceed
<br />5l peg annum, issued and payable as provided by law'."
<br />ART. 22. On motion of Albert H. Burnham it was
<br />unanimously, "VOTED. that Sections 42A, 42B, 42C, 42D,
<br />42E end 42F of Che ,tnr 391 of the Acts of 1923 be and the
<br />same hereby are accepted."
<br />ART. 24. On motion of Albert H. Burnham, it was
<br />unanimously, "VOTED, that the sum of 8500 be appropri-
