TOWN CLERK'S RECORDS 27 <br />WARRANT FOR STATE PRIMARY <br />Commonwealth of Massachusetts <br />To either of the Constables of the Town <br />of Lexington, <br />Greeting: <br />In the name of the Commonwealth you <br />are hereby required to notify and warn <br />the inhabitants of said town who are <br />qualified to vote in Primaries to meet in <br />the Town Hall, in said Lexington, on <br />Tuesday, the twenty-third day of Sep- <br />tember, 1919, at 2 o'eloek P. M., for the <br />following purposes: <br />To bring in their votes to the Primary <br />Officers for the Nomination of Candi- <br />dates of Political Parties for the follow- <br />ing offices: <br />Governor for this Commonwealth. <br />Lieutenant Governor for this Common- <br />wealth. <br />Secretary of the Commonwealth for this <br />Commonwealth. <br />Treasurer and Receiver General for this <br />Commonwealth. <br />Auditor of the Commonwealth for this <br />Commonwealth. <br />Attorney -General for this Common- <br />wealth. <br />Councillor for fith Councillor District. <br />Senator for 5th Senatorial District. <br />One Representative in General Court for <br />28th Representative District. <br />County Commissioner for Middlesex <br />County. <br />Two Associate Commissioners for Mid- <br />dlesex County. <br />District Attorney for Middlesex County. <br />And for the election of the follow- <br />ing officers: <br />Middlesex, . ss. <br />District Member of State Committee for <br />each political party for the 5th Sena- <br />torial District. <br />Members of the Democratic Town Com- <br />mittee. <br />Members of the Republiean Town Com- <br />mittee. <br />Delegates to State Conventions of Both <br />Political Parties. <br />All the above candidates and officers <br />are to be voted for upon one ballot. <br />The polls will be open from two <br />o'clock P. M. to eight o'clock P. M. by the Chairman of <br />the Selectmen. <br />The 'Warrant and the Return thereon <br />was read by the Assistant Town Clerk. <br />Charles G. Kauffman and James A. <br />Hurley were sworn as Ballot CIerks. <br />The Ballot Box was shown to be empty <br />and the key given to the Constable. <br />Samuel B. Bigelow, William C. <br />O'Leary, William E. Milliken, Patrick <br />F. Dacey, Allston M. Redman, Fred E. <br />Bntters, John J. Garrity, and Nathaniel <br />Nunn were sworn as Tellers. <br />At the close of the polls at eight <br />o'clock the ballot box was opened and <br />268 ballots taken therefrom.The num- <br />ber of names checked on each list was <br />268. The dial on the ballot box registered <br />268.
